Westmeath. CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION: We will have 3 adjudicators to adjudicate the first 2 rounds and a different 3 adjudicators for the recall set. This will be the case for Championships from Under 10 to Senior Championships. Championships from Under 6 to Under 9 will be adjudicated by a panel of 3. There will be a recall for set in championships where there are more than 20 entries. Preliminary Championships will be incorporated within the Open Championship and a separate result will be given based on the first 2 rounds. For Ceili Championship, teams can dance any 8 hand dance. ENTRY DETAILS: All entries to be emailed to [email protected]. Please list if dancers are prelim by putting a ‘P’ beside their name. Any Championships entries received on the day will have an extra 5 Euro added onto their fee. Please mail entries by October 27th. Approved by: Fidelma Egan | Reg: An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha RIALACHA: 1. Age as from January 1st 2019. 2. Adjudicator decision is final. Objections in writing to committee members accompanied by a fee of 20 Euro. 3. No block en pointe movements, stationary or moving, are allowed to be preformed for all ages up to and including the under 12 age group, however, dancers who will be un der 13 in January will be permitted to do block work from September 1st of the year prior to this date. 4. A dancer may enter Preliminary Championship if: a. They have not placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in an Open Championship which has been judged by 3 adjudicators in the current calendar year b. They have not qualified for the World Championship in that year, or are a current medal holder. c. They have not won a Preliminary Championship in the current calender year. d. A dancer who wins a Preliminary Championship may not dance these dances in the Mean Grad for the remainder of the calendar year. Preliminary Championships may be run as a stand alone competition, or may be incorporated into Open Championships 5. Any form of unauthorised photography which has the capability to capture the dancers image whilst in motion, using electronic or manual means, e.g. mobile phones, standard camera, video camcorder, commercial film, with or without flash enhancement, is strictly prohibited. 6. The Feis will not take responsibility for personal injuries or articles lost at the feis. 7. Traditional Set Dances must be chosen from the following list: St. Patrick’s Day, The Blackbird, The Job of Journey Work, The Garden of Daisies, King of the Fairies, Jockey to the Fair, or The Three Sea Captains. 8. The Feis Committee will provide suitable dance-floors. However, the committee cannot accept any responsibility for any injuries sustained while on stage or in the practice area. The lodgement of an entry will be deemed to be an acceptance of this provision. 9. The use of carriage aids is strictly forbidden. Any competitor found using these and whom refuses to remove them will be subject to disqualification. 10. Parents are responsible for the behaviour of their children at all times in the venue. 11. Make-Up is not permitted in both solo and team competitions up to and including the Under 10 age group. 12. An Comisiún rules will apply if disputes are not covered by the above rules.
