We are delighted to welcome CLRG dancers from all regions to the 2019 Vienna Feis run by Rafter School of Irish Dancing Vienna. This year’s feis marks the seventh time that it is organised by Rafter School.

Please note that this year, we are again back to the location of 2018 – Stadthalle B. The hall has stands for the audience, there are numerous changing rooms in the basement and the adjacent Hall A is available for warmup/practice and results. The Feis will be run with three adjudicators for two floors and a stage (10x8m).

A local caterer in the lobby of the hall will provide you with snacks and refreshments. In the hall, we will have a stall for shoes and dance supplies (Beats Wear) and possibly more. Stay tuned for more information via Facebook and our website www.viennafeis.at !

For teachers, we will be offering our spacious teachers’ room with snacks, soft drinks, coffee and tea all day.

This year, treblemakers are invited to get creative in terms of both costumes and steps – the ‘70s and ‘80s Themed Treble is challenging you to think about the times of ABBA and Rick Astley, The Waltons and Magnum, P.I., just to give you a few ideas.

There will be trophies for all winners and medals for runners-up. Unlike on previous Vienna Feis occasions, please note that this year, there will be no “Austrian National Championship”; although it was a great tradition, we decided to discontinue it as no feis in any other country is running a comparable competition.

We’ll also have a raffle with tickets for € 2.50 each – there will be a prize for every ticket, with main prizes to be announced on the day.

Rafter School Vienna would like to thank you for your support in previous years and looks forward to welcoming you again this year.

Joan Rafter ADCRG, Lucia Rafter TCRG, Simon Zirkowitsch TCRG, Ellie Frank- Grossebner and the Feis Committee members wish all dancers the best of success and a great time in Vienna, the city of music and dancing!
