Dear Potential Sponsor:

2010 was indeed a watershed year for Chicago’s Puerto Rican community as we celebrated the Gala Opening of the Institute of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture (IPRAC) - the only museum dedicated to preservation, and promotion of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture in the continental . As part of our fundraising efforts, the IPRAC Board of Directors sponsored the first Navi-Jazz performance with the legendary trombonist William Cepeda. During a frigid Chicago night on December 10, 2009, more than 500 people gathered to delight in the warm rhythmic music interpreted by this legendary figure. It was indeed a night to remember.

The following year, we featured the renowned trumpet player Luis “Perico” Ortiz at our second annual Navi-Jazz in 2010, another spectacular winter eve- ning with more than 600 attendees.

This year, we are proud to feature four Maestros of Latin Jazz:Edgar Abraham (Sax), Paoli Mejias (Congas), Antonio Quijano (Bass) and Endel Dueño (Drums, Timbal), each recognized as a master artist. Their im- pressive biographies are included in this packet.

On behalf of the IPRAC Board of Directors and staff, I am delighted to invite you to become one of the sponsors of this year’s one of a kind Navi-Jazz Concert. Please review the enclosed sponsorship package, and join us with your support.

I remain gratefully yours, Jose E. Lopez, Executive Director
