Amy competed for two years in softball and women’s basketball. In softball, Amy was voted team captain and most valuable player. She also received All-Region honors. In basketball, she was voted team captain and lead the team in assists. Amy graduated in 1993 from the Recreation Resource program with a 2.89 overall grade point average. EARNEST JILES, a graduate of Dermott High School in Arkansas, was also chosen as this year’s Board Sportsperson of the Year. Coach Williams took over with the Athletic Service Award for his years of the cross country program in 1972. Coach Williams is still involved with MATC athletics as the team coordinator for both the cross country and track and field programs.
