ECLIPSE ACTIVATIONS FOR 2000 There were 20 active eclipses for 2000. However, six eclipses took place in that year, which set the scene for a very active period in the next years to come. Most of those eclipses were activated in that year. There was one eclipse in particular, discussed at the end of this document, that set a tone of violence and intrigue for years to come, and it was activated by Neptune. Neptune hovered around the 1° orb of that eclipse (28 Jul 99) for virtually all of the second half of the year. There were some dates that fell outside of the generally-accepted 1° orb, and those are highlighted in yellow below. However, neither Uranus nor Neptune were further than 2 ½ degrees from an eclipse point at any given time during the year. There was a lull in Mars activity from mid-March until August. In addition, Uranus activated an eclipse at 15 Aquarius, a disaster point, for all of January. It was characterized by a great cross with Neptune as the lord of the eclipse. Neptune activated this eclipse in the second half of 2000 from July to the end of that year. It also activated it for the first three months of that year. In fact, it was never more than 1.5° away from that point. Essentially, we could probably say that the entire year was characterized by the Neptune activation of that eclipse—a most unusual case, which only happens when Neptune or Pluto are in close proximity to or opposite eclipses. It was an important eclipse, as it marked the planning stages of al-Qaeda operations for the year. In January there were a series of millennial attacks planned to mark the start of the millennium, and these included 9/11 and the attack on the USS Cole. The summit of Jan 5 –8 (see January Mars activations) consisted of Arab veterans of the Soviet War in Afghanistan and was videotaped by Malaysian authorities, although no sound recordings were made.1 At the time of the meeting Saturn was transiting retrograde opposite Mars of the eclipse figure and squared the nodal axis of the eclipse figure, indicating the planning of the violence to come. Of particular interest is that the eclipse axis fell across the horizon for the eclipse in Kuala Lampur. The year 2000 was ironically named the International Year for the Culture of Peace. 1 www.globalsecurity.org/security/profiles/the_kuala_lampur_meeting.htm 5 .
