Hampton is 53-18 in road games under head coach David Six, and the Lady Pirates have won at least 10 road games in each of the last four seasons — including a 13-1 mark in true road games in 2012-13.

But when the Lady Pirates defeated Coppin State 50-47 in last year’s MEAC Tournament title game, they did just that. Head coach David Six has won the MEAC Tournament in each of his five seasons at the helm, and the Lady Pirates have won the last four MEAC regular-season titles. During that span, Hampton is 62-2 in MEAC play (74-2 including MEAC Tournament games). That stretch includes back-to-back seasons in which the Lady Pirates went undefeated in conference play; overall, the Lady Pirates have won 49 straight games against MEAC foes, including conference tournament games.

In three seasons, Hampton High captured its first district title ever and appeared in the 1995 Virginia Group AAA state Year Overall MEAC Final Four, finishing with 26-4 record the best in school history at the 2009-10 20-12 (.625) 12-4 (.750) time. 2010-11 25-7 (.781) 15-1 (.938) 2011-12 26-5 (.839) 15-1 (.938) After the 1995 season, Six left Hampton High to become the head var- 2012-13 28-6 (.824) 16-0 (1.000) sity boys coach at Gloucester (Va.) High School. Six is the only boys 2013-14 28-5 (.848) 16-0 (1.000) coach in Gloucester history to qualify for the district tournament – a feat Totals 127-35 (.784) 74-6 (.925) he accomplished twice.

At the conclusion of the 1998 season, Six returned to the helm at Hamp- ton High. Again Six ignited the program, capturing the 2000 district tour- nament championship.

In the 2001 season, the Lady Crabbers won the district and district tour- nament championship, before capturing the first female state champion- ship in the 105-year history of Hampton High, finishing the season 27-3. Four MEAC regular-season titles: 2010-11. 2011-12. 2012-13, 2013-14 Five MEAC Tournament championships: 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 At that point, Six-coached teams had won seven straight district titles, Five NCAA Tournament appearances: 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and an astounding eight straight district tournament titles, en route to a Three-time MEAC Coach of the Year: 2010-11, 2012-13, 2013-14 2013-14 LADY PIRATE STATISTICS 2013-14 LADY PIRATE CATEGORY LEADERS 2013-14 LADY PIRATE CATEGORY LEADERS LAST TIME OUT FOR THE LADY PIRATES...
