Keep left at Havelock Square to turn left into New Market Road. The hotel main entrance is located on the left side of New Market Road. Driving from the south: (From Harbour Front – 4.7km – 8 minutes). Turn right onto Telok Blangah Road. Turn left onto Kampong Bahru Road. Turn right at the first traffic lights onto Kampong Bahru Road. Turn right onto Jalan Bukit Merah. Continue on Jalan Bukit Merah onto Eu Tong Sen Street. Turn right onto Merchant Road and keep left into Keng Cheow Street. Turn Left onto Havelock Road and turn left into New Market Road. The hotel main entrance is located on the left side of New Market Road. Driving from the west: ( From Tuas Checkpoint – 27.4km – 23 minutes). Head southeast on second link toward Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE). Merge onto Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE). Take exit 2C on the right to merge onto Central Expressway (CTE) toward Seletar Expressway (SLE). Take exit 2C and keep right at the fork. Continue straight till the junction of New Bridge Road & Merchant Road. Keep right to make a U-turn back into Merchant Road. Turn left into Keng Cheow Street. Turn Left onto Havelock Road. Turn left into New Market Road. The hotel main entrance is located on the left side of New Market Road. Car Rental Companies The car rental counters are located at the Arrival Halls of Terminal 1, 2 and 3. The counter operating hours are from 7.00am to 11.00pm. Taxis Taxis are available at the taxi stands at the Arrival levels of each Terminal. The journey to the city is estimated to cost between $18.00 and $38.00 and takes approximately 30 minutes. .

    Jun 11, 2013 16:00 +08 NEW PARALLEL BUS SERVICE 951E FROM 17 JUNE - Service connects Woodlands residents to and from the city A new SMRT parallel bus service – Service 951E – that connects the Woodlands neighbourhoods to the Central Business District (CBD) will begin operations from Monday, 17 June 2013. This is the 12th bus service to be rolled out under the Land Transport Authority’s Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP). The new service will provide greater connectivity and an alternative travel option for Woodlands residents travelling to and from areas in the CBD during weekday morning and evening peak-hours (excluding public holidays). Parallel Service 951E will operate two one-way trips on weekday mornings at 7.30 am and 7.45 am from Woodlands Street 82, Woodlands Avenue 4 and Woodlands Avenue 1 to areas within the CBD such as Orchard Road, Bras Basah Road, Nicoll Highway, Collyer Quay, Raffles Quay and Shenton Way. On weekday evenings, two one-way trips at 6.15 pm and 6.30 pm will connect commuters from areas such as Anson Road, Collyer Quay, Fullerton Road, Esplanade Drive, Stamford Road, Orchard Road and Penang Road to the Woodlands neighbourhoods.     POLICE NEWS RELEASE Annual Road Traffic Situation 2014 Overview The road traffic situation in 2014 showed encouraging improvements in several areas. Fatal traffic accidents and fatalities continued to fall although injury accidents increased slightly. Fatal accidents involving red-running also fell, and motorists’ compliance with traffic light signals improved after the installation of Digital Traffic Red Light System (DTRLS) cameras at road junctions. The drink- driving situation also improved. The Traffic Police will continue to work with stakeholders including the community to create a culture of safe and courteous road use by all. Declining Trend in Fatal Accidents and Fatalities 2. Even with more people and vehicles on the road, the number of fatal traffic accidents and fatalities in 2014 continued to fall, after the sharp drop in 2012. 3. There were 149 cases of fatal accidents in 2014, compared to 150 cases in 2013. The number of fatalities also dropped slightly from 160 in 2013 to 154 in 2014. The fatality rate per 100,000 persons decreased from 2.96 in 2013 to 2.82 in 2014.     Annex B Plans for Jurong Lake District and Beyond Potential for new quality homes The stretch of the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) from Yuan Ching Road to Jurong Town Hall Road could be realigned to free up land south of Jurong Lake for residential development, and to integrate the Pandan Reservoir area with the district to form a larger and more cohesive development area. Environmental improvements can be made to the surrounding parks and waterbodies such as Jurong River, Pandan River, Pandan Reservoir and Teban Gardens to create an attractive waterfront residential district amidst lush greenery for Singaporeans to enjoy. Better accessibility and connectivity Besides the East-West and North-South MRT lines which are undergoing upgrading, the new Jurong Regional and Cross-Island MRT lines, a new integrated transport hub at Jurong East, agencies will explore building more dedicated cycling paths and park connectors. These will strengthen connectivity and accessibility between Jurong Lake District and the surrounding residential and business nodes such as Pandan and Teban gardens estates, Tengah New Town, JTC’s proposed integrated R&D and industrial township centred around Clean Tech Park, NTU, and Bulim and Tengah industrial estates. This will reduce the need to drive in the western region and promote a healthier lifestyle. Possible location for High-Speed Rail terminus The Government is currently studying where the future Kuala Lumpur- Singapore High-Speed Rail (HSR) terminus could be sited in Singapore. Jurong East is one of the possible locations. If it is eventually sited in Jurong East, Jurong Lake District will become a gateway to Singapore and potentially our second Central Business District.
