Below: Election Officer Daryn Meet the team… Daryn Cleworth I started working at the Town Hall in 1987 as an office clerk in the old Community Services Department in Seale Street. As a somewhat shy and unassuming young teenager, the role certainly helped to draw me out of my shell. After becoming accustomed with the different personalities and challenges one encounters working in such an environment it soon became one of the most rewarding roles of my career, even to this day. I worked there for three years before moving on to the Rates Department. This brought with it a new challenge, not least of all trying to get my head around the law! I eventually settled in, though, and the experience gained in the Community Services Department served me well when dealing with the occasional irate rate payer! After seven years in the Rates Department and ten years with the Parish in total, I opted for a move to the Parish of St Clement Electoral Officer was offered to me in 2008.
