Zijn plan om Horatius uit te geven, bleef steken bij de commentaar op de Ars poetica en verscheen pas postuum in 1608.3 Verder toonde Torrentius zich een verdienstelijk dichter die vlot weg kon met de verschillende versmaten uit de klassieke Latijnse poëzie. Née de la rencontre entre l’élite de différents arts martiaux populaires au 20ème siècle et de leur hybridation, cette discipline semble systématiquement avoir d’abord connu un engouement populaire avant de voir sa pratique en compétition légalisée, État par État.
