Public Notice Highway 914 All-Weather Road between the McArthur River and Cigar Lake Mine Sites Public Comments Invited and Federal Funding Available The Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure is proposing to construct an all-weather road between the existing access roads to the McArthur River and the Cigar Lake mine sites to provide a more efficient route for trucks to access mines in northern Saskatchewan. The project is subject to both a comprehensive study under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act and an environmental impact assessment under The Environmental Assessment Act (Saskatchewan). The public is invited to provide comments on a draft Project-Specific Guidelines and Scoping Document which incorporates the requirements of the federal and provincial environmental assessment processes and identifies the key issues and studies to be addressed in an environmental impact statement. Please provide your comments by November 29, 2010 in order to ensure that they are considered prior to the finalization of the Project Specific Guidelines and Scoping Document. All comments will be reviewed by both federal and provincial regulators and will be considered public as part of the project file.
