Atlas is offering the Dash 8-40BW in a choice of Santa Fe, BNSF or undecorated. They also offer the Amtrak Dash 8-32BW in Amtrak or undeco rated. The models have more superdetails than any previous Atlas diesels, with sander lines, thinner grabirons and rails and other details. These 20-foot and 40-foot corrugated hi-cube containers are now available from Walthers in a dozen different paint and lettering schemes. The containers are $4.98 each. The Rivarossi COlO Allegheny2- 6-6-6 is expect ed late this winter. The model is completely new with separate pipes and details, fine blackened valve gear, RP25 wheel contours and brass bell, whistle, poppet valves and etched builders plates. The model includes two cabs, one shorter than the prototype to allow operation on tighter radius curves. The cab roof vents, firebox doors, tender water hatch and cab windows all open. There's even a detailed interior visible inside the tender's open water hatch. It has directional lighting and firebox and is available pre-wired for DCC or with a DCC decoder installed. 6 RA/LMODELJOURNAL . NOVEMBER 2001 Walthers is now producing ready-to-run replicas of the National Steel Car 3-unit 53-foot well cars. The models and the prototype are designed to handle 53-foot or shorter containers.

Metro needs more of them. The next obvious one is an east-west line along Eglinton, Sheppard or Finch Avenues—If politicians show a bit of nerve and build fixed rail transit into thinly populated areas, experience has shown these soon become thickly populated areas.

Its western terminus, Shelby, connects to the Marias Pass route DLC from Dovetail Games, thus completing the entire Hi-Line Subdivision from Whitefish to Havre in Train Simulator. History The Hi-Line subdivision is part of BNSF's busy northern transcontinental mainline (Chicago-Seattle). It was originally built in the late 19th century by James J. Hill's Great Northern Railway (GN) and is the northernmost of the transcontinental railroads in the United States. The building of the Great Northern mainline brought a settlement boom to the plains of Montana, many of the small towns and villages along what is today called the Hi-Line subdivision where established during or shortly after the construction of the railroad. Havre and Shelby, the two end points of this route, were important junction points on the Great Northern. At Havre, a secondary mainline, routed through the beautiful upper Missouri canyon, branched off towards Great Falls, MT, an important traffic hub in the GN network. That line no longer exists today, only two short branch lines from Havre to Big Sandy in the north and from Great Falls to Fort Benton in the south remain in (very infrequent) service.

  • HO-Scale Conversion List Handout
® HO-SCALE COUPLER CONVERSION LIST 7-8-21 The Coupler People Most of the below listings have conversion drawing and instructions on our web site at www.kadee.com/hocc.htm Newer models that have factory installed knuckle couplers are easily converted by using our standard head #148 or scale head #158 Whisker® Couplers. Always check the coupler heights with either our #205 or newer #206 Coupler Height Gauge. This coupler conversion list is our suggested starting coupler for the conversion. (Typically requiring the least modification to a model utilizing our newest couplers even though other couplers also work for the model). Our conversion’s based on only one model from a production run, there may be inconsistencies in a model’s production run that require a different coupler or model modifications to achieve the proper coupler height for coupler function.
