Change Specifics: 2.4.10 Alarms (J10) The alarms connector is used to provide three Form C contact closures for alarm reporting, as follows: • Alarm 1 = Not used • Alarm 2 = TX • Alarm 3 = RX The two Form C summary fault contacts currently used are: • Transmit alarm (Alarm 2) • Receive alarm (Alarm 3) Refer to Chapter 4 for a discussion of alarms monitored. To obtain a system summary alarm, connect all the Form C contacts in parallel. The alarms connection is a 9-pin female D connector located on the rear panel of the modem. Screw locks are provided for mechanical security on the mating connector.
