Getting to Crows Nest From Penrith and M6 J40 follow the A66 to Keswick and after around 7 miles turn left at the Troutbeck junction onto the A509. Follow the road for around 2.5 miles to Matterdale End. As you pass the village signpost go through an s-bend and bear right and take the next right (signposted a dead end). Drive up this hill and around a sharp right bend and Crows Nest is on the left hand side.
