He just became a part of the family since he kept getting passed over for adoption. Those who passed him up will never know what they missed. He was a blessing to all who knew him. Last year, Susan Story’s youngest grandson, Chase, asked if she would help him with his Eagle Scout project. He knew she loves to build things and especially has a passion for helping animals. So this dog bed project was right up her alley. His project is called M.O.B. (My Own Bed) and involved making elevated beds for animals at Chase’s local shelter & Humane Society. The beds would actually belong to the animal and would go with them when they were adopted. Chase is working on getting corporate sponsors for donations of materials and money for the beds and for a Meet & Greet area at the shelter where families can spend time with the animal to make sure they are a perfect fit for the dog/cat in their Furever Home. Chase will also teach younger scouts to make the beds; so this will be a long term project for his community, the animals, and future scouts. Susan currently has fourteen dogs and six cats. Chase has five dogs, all rescues. They want to make sure the beds they make will fit the different needs for all whether they are young or old, healthy or disabled. Ultimately Susan SCMR owes a debt of gratitude to Lyle Prouse for and Chase want to pay it forward for the love and joy their flying Teddy and Lucy to their foster home. But Napoleon has one special need...he is a diabetic and has to have two insulin shots a day. He is SO good about his shots...never flinches. And he is well regulated on Vetsulin. Napoleon also has a special diet that will need to be maintained. He is a super sweet little nine pound, purebred toy poodle and is nine years old. He’s not a big cuddler, but he does like to be close by...close enough to get his ears rubbed while the two of you are watching the tv. He is leash trained and would love to take a walk when it is not real hot. Plus he is house trained and will use a pee pad if he must. But he does like to go outside to take care of business. Diabetic dogs like Napoleon still have a lot of love to give. And his care is not difficult. Please consider giving Napoleon a second chance.     Family Treasures Family Treasures Preface The original purpose of this book was to be a birthday present to my grandmother, Edna Nelson, how- ever over time it has grown into much more than that. This book is now in its second edition and many corrections and improvements have been made to the text found in the original version. Additional research by Vaughn Nielsen (Vaughn was a great- grandson of Lars Hansen Christiansen), Allan Christiansen and his sister Marilyn have provided new information on Lars Hans Christiansen, the parents of Lars and the generation before that. The section on Myrtle Jensen was totally reworked with the story submitted by Izola Vincent, who gleaned Myrtle's diaries to create a brief history of her life. This book at first was only to be a history of the family of Moses Josephat Christiansen, however as more and more information was made available concerning the preceding generations I expanded the scope of the book to include more stories on those generations preceding Moses Christiansen. After collecting all the stories together on the computer they were put into a desktop publisher, which allowed me the flexibility to modify and add to the stories. To spice up the book a bit I knew it needed some pictures. I first drew upon my grandmother, Edna Nelson, who had some pictures that were used in a previous book, The Legacy of Norman Nels Nelson. These pictures were not enough and I knew where to get more. Aunt Nellie Christensen had been the de facto historian of the Christiansen family for a number of years and she also had a lot of pictures of the family from many years back.

Headlining their own major shows in America, and touring internationally with the likes of the Doobie Brothers, Supertramp, America, and the Eagles was a huge learning curve that honed LRB into one of the finest live bands in the world. Record success ran alongside – total record sales around the world have eclipsed the 25 million mark. 16 hit singles by 1985, as well as gold, platinum, and multi-platinum album sales awards. All-told LRB have notched up eight top 10 singles in the US, where just two of their songs, Reminiscing and Lady, have more than 8 million radio plays between them. Through the years LRB has thrived as a highly respected and constantly in-demand outfit, going about their craft with a dedication to excellence and professionalism that few, if any, can match. The Little River Band of 2007 is as strong as ever. There is a new fusion of spontaneity, rock and roll, and blues, anchored by American bass player Wayne Nelson, who began his LRB career in 1980.
