Bassist/vocalist Wayne Nelson joined the band in 1980, and worked alongside founding members with some of the most distinctive harmonies and vocal abilities, creating the unique Little River Band sound. Guitarist extraordinaire Stephen Housden joined the band in 1981, bringing a rock element. As band members departed, Housden and Nelson brought the band into the new millennium. In 2004 the band was inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association Hall of Fame. In 2015 the band was awarded Casino Entertainer of the Year. The current lineup of Little River Band: Nashville Guitarist ColinWhinnery shares lead vocal role with Nelson and plays rhythm and lead guitar. Keyboardist Chris Marion is a Dove Award winning producer. Lead Guitarist Rich Herring also is a singer, songwriter, and producer. Drummer Ryan Ricks rounds out the vocals with his incredible range.
