Little River Band is scheduled to perform on Friday, June 20, and Jefferson Starship is scheduled to play on Saturday, June 21. The concerts will begin at approximately 7 p.m. – soon after the last golfer of the day finishes his round – and will be held in the SUBWAY® Fan Zone located near the center of the course. “The Powerstation Events Concert Series continues to be a staple at our tournament, bringing top acts to Connecticut for our fans to enjoy at no additional cost to the ticketholder,” said Travelers Championship Tournament Director Nathan Grube. “These acts, mixed with seeing golf from one of our strongest player fields in the tournament’s history, will be a thrill for our fans.” Fans can attend the Powerstation Events Concert Series by purchasing an Any One Day Ticket, which provides access to the tournament and all of the entertainment throughout the day. Powerstation Events is the premier name in event entertainment and production in Connecticut. Since their humble beginnings in 1983, Powerstation Events has gone on to serve more than 20,000 various events of all different sizes and types throughout the state. "It is with great pleasure that for the third consecutive year we present the Powerstation Events Concert Series at the Travelers Championship,” said Al Vagnini, president of Powerstation Events. “To produce a music concert amidst the backdrop of a PGA TOUR event is a truly unique and excellent concept and our team couldn’t be more proud to partner with the Travelers Championship to stage this great event and to support the many charities that the Travelers Championship benefits.” Jefferson Starship is an iconic psychedelic rock group, earning considerable success in the 1970s and 80s. From 1974 to 1987, the band had 10 straight studio albums certified either platinum or gold, including the multi-platinum “Red Octopus,” which reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200. The group has also had three singles reach No. 1 on the charts: “We Built This City,” “Sara,” and “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now.” The band has remained active, having released a new album in 2013 entitled “Loveless Fascination.” Little River Band is an Australian rock band and one of the most significant bands in that country’s history. They’ve had tremendous success in the U.S. as well, earning 13 U.S. Top 40 hits, including “Reminiscing,” “Lady,” “Lonesome Loser,” “The Night Owls,” and many more. Their albums “Sleeper Catcher,” and “First Under the Wire” both went platinum in the late 1970s, while albums “Diamantina Cocktail” and “Time Exposure” were certified gold. The band has sold more than 25 million records worldwide. The Powerstation Events Concert Series is just one of the many featured events of the 2014 Travelers Championship, which will be held at TPC River Highlands from June 16 to 22. Publisher: Eric Olsen REVIEW Music Review: Jefferson Starship - Jefferson's Tree Of Liberty Written by David Bowling Published August 31, 2008 Life is good as founding member Paul Kantner remains in control of The Jefferson Starship. Long time cohort David Freiberg is still around as is guitarist Mark Aguilar. Cathy Richardson is now the lead female vocalist. She starred in the off Broadway production about Janis Joplin’s life. Richardson’s voice is powerful and pure but is closer to a Grace Slick sound than Joplin’s, which should come as no surprise. Even Marty Balin joins the Starship for a couple of tunes. Jefferson’s Tree Of Liberty finds the Starship traveling in a new and unique musical direction. Succinctly put, this is a folk album. Songs such as “Pastures Of Plenty” by Woody Guthrie, “Chimes Of Freedom” by Bob Dylan, and “I Ain’t Marching Anymore” by Phil Ochs are all presented in classic vocal form. Kantner and The Jefferson Starship can’t quite escape their rock ‘n’ roll roots as the instrumental background veers from the classic folk formula. Think the Weavers in rock mode. The first track sets the tone for most of the album. The old Weavers tune, “Wasn’t That A Time,” features the voices of Kantner, Freiberg, and Richardson. Richardson provides a wonderful balance on most of the harmonies contained on the album.

You can use ANY other resources to learn the song and script...this includes YouTube, parents, friends, a voice teacher, websites..etc!! We want to see commitment! We will run through these songs at the Student Info Session on November 5th. Auditions dates/times: ALL GRADES – Monday, November 26th - 3pm-7pm (Come to Auditions with the completed Demographic/Conflict Form) Callbacks - Tuesday, November 27th - 3-4:30pm Not everyone gets a callback!! This doesn’t necessarily mean that you didn’t make the show or didn’t get the part you wanted. It just means that the Directors need to see more or see something different.
