Little River Band is scheduled to perform on Friday, June 20, and Jefferson Starship is scheduled to play on Saturday, June 21. The concerts will begin at approximately 7 p.m. – soon after the last golfer of the day finishes his round – and will be held in the SUBWAY® Fan Zone located near the center of the course. “The Powerstation Events Concert Series continues to be a staple at our tournament, bringing top acts to Connecticut for our fans to enjoy at no additional cost to the ticketholder,” said Travelers Championship Tournament Director Nathan Grube. “These acts, mixed with seeing golf from one of our strongest player fields in the tournament’s history, will be a thrill for our fans.” Fans can attend the Powerstation Events Concert Series by purchasing an Any One Day Ticket, which provides access to the tournament and all of the entertainment throughout the day. From 1974 to 1987, the band had 10 straight studio albums certified either platinum or gold, including the multi-platinum “Red Octopus,” which reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200. The group has also had three singles reach No. 1 on the charts: “We Built This City,” “Sara,” and “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now.” The band has remained active, having released a new album in 2013 entitled “Loveless Fascination.” Little River Band is an Australian rock band and one of the most significant bands in that country’s history. They’ve had tremendous success in the U.S. as well, earning 13 U.S. Top 40 hits, including “Reminiscing,” “Lady,” “Lonesome Loser,” “The Night Owls,” and many more. Their albums “Sleeper Catcher,” and “First Under the Wire” both went platinum in the late 1970s, while albums “Diamantina Cocktail” and “Time Exposure” were certified gold. The band has sold more than 25 million records worldwide. The Powerstation Events Concert Series is just one of the many featured events of the 2014 Travelers Championship, which will be held at TPC River Highlands from June 16 to 22. This year’s player field is one of the deepest and most competitive in tournament history, and includes two-time Masters winner Bubba Watson, Dustin Johnson, Matt Kuchar, Brandt Snedeker, Keegan Bradley, Zach Johnson, Patrick Reed, reigning champion Ken Duke and more.
