MB Motorsports Advance: Kansas Motor Speedway Contact: Dan Griffin IMMEDIATE RELEASE Telephone: 217-430-2277 Email: [email protected] NASCAR Trucks Have An Off Week; Jake Griffin Heads To Alaska Raceway Park Event: Late Model Location: Alaska Raceway Park, Palmer, AK Date: July 20, 2019 Jake Griffin Fast Facts Jake Griffin will head to one of the most scenic areas in the world to race a Late Model car at Alaska Raceway Park in Palmer, AK Jake will drive for Bobby Reuse and Matt Hambrick who have enjoyed strong runs this season at Alaska Raceway Park Jake will pilot the #03 Chevy for Mike Affarano / Affarano Motorsports at the Eldora Dirt Derby at the famed Eldora Speedway on August 1st Jake has made five starts in the Gander Outdoors Truck Series, having debuted under the tutelage of Mike Mittler and his MB Motorsports operation. Jake Griffin, Q&A Did you ever think you'd be racing in Alaska? “No way! (Laughs) I've seen pictures of the track and how you're looking at mountains outside the track. It's amazing. I can't wait to get there, especially since I know I have a really good car to race up there.” How does racing a Pro Late Model help your Truck Series efforts? “Seat time is seat time and you can never get enough of that. It's kind of like having a well rounded education. The more aspects of your trade you have experience with, the better a driver you will be.” Bobby Reuse, Q&A Thoughts on having Jake Griffin behind the wheel of your car? “Jake's a wheel man, no doubt about it. When the opportunity came up for Jake to run for us, we jumped on it. We know we have a fast car, so with Jake behind the wheel we feel pretty good about Saturday's race.” Jake Griffin Career Highlights At age 14, Jake Griffin became the youngest winner in NASCAR touring series history. Two years later, Griffin made his NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series debut. With more than 300 top five finishes to his credit, Jake has amassed over 68 feature wins, one regional championship, and six track championships since his start in quarter midgets at age seven. Since then, he has raced in the UMP A and B- Modified, Crate Late Model, NASCAR and Super Late Model series. Especially those like you, getting up every day to live the American Dream through hard work and the creation of unique quality products. A few words from our President: Let’s all come together as AMERICANS and celebrate our many blessings. The most important thing we have is our freedom, which is what sets this country apart from most all others. One of those freedoms is the ability to choose the work we do, none of us told by central planning what that job will be. Every year, I am so impressed by the imagination, creativity and quality of the work that each and every one of our customers accomplishes. We now have the Jamey Jordan training classes twice a year and to be able to witness the progression of skills of the students, after just a few days of instruction, is mind blowing. We still have free elections and you can and should make your voice heard. We await the results of the mid- terms as I write this, and either way, I know we will move forward. Whether you like President Trump, or not, he is a real champion of “Made in America” and that is the cornerstone of our business, for these nearly forty years. The easing of regulation and limiting new regulations has lifted a tremendous burden from all businesses. Locally, we have a U.S. steel plant reopening and bringing back 500 jobs! Suppliers were reporting business as soon as people were on site to help get the plant started. I’m sure you can agree this is a great trickle down as a result of these regulations. This is the largest and I feel the best catalog we have ever produced.
