Summary of CV

This section describes briefly a summary of your career in science, academic and research; the main scientific and technological achievements and goals in your line of research in the medium -and long- term. It also includes other important aspects or peculiarities.

Ignacio Gimeno completed his Physics degree in the University of Zaragoza in 2017 obtaining an average mark of 8.27/10, presenting a final degree project titled "Experimental study of spin molecular qubits" with which he obtained a mark of 9.3/10 and a distinction with honour. During 2017-2018 he completed a Master's degree in Physics and Physical Technologies in this same University obtaining an average mark of 9.39/10, presenting a final Master's project titled "Coupling spin qubits to quantum superconducting circuits", with which he obtained a mark of 9.5/10. He is DGA predoctoral scholarship holder in CSIC since 2018, where he is performing his thesis trying to develop reliable methods for coupling coherently individual photons to small groups of spins an to magnetic individual nanostructures using superconducting quantum circuits, under the direction of Dr. Fernando Luis Vitalla. During the realization of his thesis he has participated in seven national and international congresses, presenting oral communications in four of them and posters in the other two. One of these oral communications, held at the XXXVII Biennal Meeting of the Royal Spanish Society of Physics, made him receive the second prize in the Young Researchers Contest of this conferencem in the category of "Young Doctoral Students". He has also made a five-week stay at the Atominstitut of the Technical University of Vienna, in which the coupling of a small sample of spin qubits to a new generation of nano-resonators was studied.
