NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING THROUGH e-Procurement No:-Online- 05 Date:- 08.09.2015 The Executive Engineer, Rural Works Division, Puri on behalf of Governor of Odisha invites percentage rate tenders through e-procurement for following Road/ Building works for the year 2015-16 in the district of Puri as per details given in the table below. The bid should be submitted on-line in the website “https://tendersodisha.gov.in” by eligible class of contractors of Government of Odisha or of equivalent class of other State Government / Railways/CPWD/MES. The bidders should have necessary Portal Enrolment (with his own Digital Signature Certificate). The registered bidders of outside Odisha, can participate in this process, after necessary Portal Enrolment, but shall have to subsequently undergo registration with the appropriate authority of the State Government before award of the work. Bid documents consisting of qualification information and eligibility criterion of bidders, plans, specifications, drawings, schedule of quantities and abstract of estimate of the various classes of work is available in website “https://tendersodisha.gov.in”. 4. The bid for the work shall remain open for acceptance for a period of ninety days from the Last date of receipt of bids. If any Bidder/ Tenderer withdraws his bid/ tender before the said period or makes any modifications in the terms and conditions of the bid, the said earnest money shall stand forfeited. 5. The EMD amount noted against the work as per annexure is to be submitted in the form of FDR/NSC/KVP/POTD Pass book duly pledged in favour of Executive Engineer, R.W.Division, Puri. The scan copy of the EMD shall be uploaded & the original EMD shall be dropped in the box provided for the purpose in this Office/ sent by registered post with A.D. to Office of the Executive Engineer, Rural Works Division, Puri for verification before the date & time of opening of the bid as mentioned in the table above. 6. The cost of tender paper per set is as per column-5 (Non-refundable) only to be produced in shape of D.D. in favour of Executive Engineer, Rural Works Division, Puri for the work as mentioned at Col.2 of table. The scan copy of the tender cost shall be uploaded & the original D.D. shall be dropped in the box provided for the purpose in this Office/ sent by registered post with A.D. along with EMD to Office of the Executive Engineer, Rural Works Division, Puri for verification before the date & time of opening of the bid as mentioned in the table above. It may please be noted that this office shall not be held responsible for any postal delay in case of submission of these financial instruments by post. Tenderer Executive Engineer - 5 - 7. Bidders participating in the tender shall submit their EMD and the cost of the tender paper in separate envelope for each work positively and write the Sl. No. of work as per TCN on the envelope, failing which their registering authority shall be moved for suspension or cancellation and blocking of their DSCs. 8. If the Office happens to be closed due to subsequent declaration as holidays by govt. or local authority on the date of opening as specified above the tenders will be received/ opened on the immediate next working day at the same time, place and venue. 9. To this day the villagers around Chilika Lake observes an annual festival called “Bali Yatra” (Journey to Bali in Indonesia). A place called Manikpatna is considered the site of this ancient port. The Chilika Lake is well known to the bird lovers for winter bird congregation migrating from distant lands; more than 100 of 211 species recorded from Chilika are intercontinental migrants flying of from Caspian Sea, Lake Baikal, Aral Sea and other remote parts of Russia, Kirghiz steppes of Mongolia, Central and Southeast Asia. The Lake Chilika attracts thousands of visitors for its serene beauty and rich natural landscape dotted with such islands named Beacon island, Breakfast island, Honeymoon island, Birds island (all christened during colonial era) and Somolo, Dumkudi, Parikud, Barunkuda (bearing the traditional Oriya name in local language). The local community have also deep religious attachments with Kalijai temple situated in yet another island; goddess Kalijai is venerated due to the folklore and legend.
