These fusible appliquéd hens and eggs are so cute, you'll want to put them on everything. Below are the supplies and instructions for making an apron pocket that finishes at 9.5" x 14.5". You can also use the templates to make , small pockets or little ornaments.. Customize them to your taste and have fun!

S U P P L I E S F O R A P R O N P O C K E T 10"x15" outer pocket fabric 10"x15" inner pocket fabric Scraps of white, yellow, red, and black fabrics Approx. 10"x10" paper-backed double sided fusible. For this project I used Heat and Bond Lite. Iron (I love my Oliso mini project iron for this!) Pencil machine Matching threads, or mono-filament Optional: 32" rickrack or other

1.Place double-sided fusible on top of templates below. Fusible should be paper up. Trace around each shape with a pencil and label them. Tape to a lightbox or window, if needed. 2. the shapes out of the fusible. Don't cut directly on the line, leave a rough 1/4" margin to the outside of the line. 3.Iron the shapes to the back side of the colored fabric indicated. The non-paper (fusible) side is against the wrong side of the fabric. 4.Cut out each shape on the line. Remove the paper backing from each piece. 5.At the ironing board, place the outer pocket fabric down right-side up. Place hen body where you want it (make sure it's at least 1/2" from edge of fabric). Then layer waddle, eye feathers, beak, and eye. Use the photo on page 1 for guidance. Once everything is where you want it, iron in place. 6.Repeat Step 5 with egg whites and yolks. 7.With , top- or zig-zag pieces down.

S E W P O C K E T 1.Place inner and outer pocket fabrics on top of each other, right-sides together. 2.Stitch around the perimeter of the pocket using a 1/4" allowance. Leave a 4" opening so that you can turn the pocket right-side out. 3.Turn pocket right-side out and press seams. 4.Add rickrack or other embellishments, then sew pocket to pre-made apron.
