Through a partnership with the New York Code + Design Academy, adult students with little or no prior experience in computer science will be able to hone this increasingly important skill. “We are proud to partner with NYCDA to expand our offerings and provide this amazing educational opportunity exclusively for adults,” said Paul Hoffman, President and CEO of Liberty Science Center. “Coding is an in-demand, 21st century skill with the power to unlock new opportunities for adults just entering the workforce or looking for a mid-career change.” “We’re honored to partner with Liberty Science Center to expand their program offerings. This partnership furthers our mission to improve the connection between community, technology, and continuing education,” said Jeremy Snepar, CEO and Founder of NYCDA. The first course, Web Development 100, runs August 7 through November 27 and is designed to introduce beginners to the fundamentals of web development through an integrated curriculum covering HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Students will build rich, dynamic websites in a supportive, community-driven classroom and receive a certificate of completion upon graduation. Classes are held at Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, New Jersey, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Advance registration is required.
