Is Stranger Things' Eleven coming to AsiaPop Comicon 2016? |Geek Crusade

Could this be real? After dashing our hopes with a cancellation from Hayley Atwell, AsiaPop Comicon 2016 (APCC) sent out a cryptic Facebook post:

If you’ve been watching ’s Stranger Things, then you’ll know that it’s a reference to the way Will Hayes communicates with his mother from the Upside Down. And if you watch the lights carefully, you’ll see that they spell out W-A-F-F-L-E-S. Now, who can you think of who’s a fan of waffles?

That’s right: It’s , the Spanish-born British actress who portrays the exceedingly creepy Eleven. Is she the special surprise coming to APCC?

It’s worth noting that this is the first year Netflix is available (legally) in the Southeast Asian region. We’ve already seen them conduct fan-centric outreach in Singapore, when they remade Overeasy into Orange is the New Black‘s Litchfield Penitentiary Cafeteria.

Netflix also brought in star Charlie Cox, to Singapore in March 2016 for a fan meet. In addition, we know that Netflix has been recruiting for a Marketing Manager for South-East Asia who will lead development on local shows like comic convention.

So really, all this just points to one possible conclusion. Netflix is going to have a presence at AsiaPop Comic Con, and they will bring in their stars for their very first outing.

Guess all there is left to do now is to wait for Asiapop Comicon to announce Millie Bobby Brown as their next celebrity guest.
