Through a sponsorship donation from Nike, admission to the Oregon Historical Society will be free for the entire weekend. **Just Added** Also on display will be the 2015 Rose Bowl Trophy, which the University of Oregon Ducks won when they defeated the Florida State University Seminoles in the College Football Playoff semi-final game, which was played at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California on January 1, 2015. First awarded in 1935 by the Downtown Athletic Club of New York City, the Heisman is presented annually to the NCAA football player whose performance exemplifies the pursuit of excellence with integrity. The practice of awarding two trophies each year began in 1968, with one trophy going to the chosen player and another to the school represented by the winner. “We are delighted that the University of Oregon asked the Oregon Historical Society to be the venue to display the Heisman Trophy in Portland,” said Kerry Tymchuk, Executive Director of the Oregon Historical Society.

Beck, City Manager FROM: Siobhan Foster, Director of Public Works RE: Devil’s Gate Reservoir Sediment Removal & Management Project With the January 21, 2014 closure of the comment period on the Draft Environmental Impact Report for the Devil’s Gate Reservoir Sediment Removal & Management Project, the Department of Public Works is focused on scheduling the initial meeting of the Devil’s Gate Reservoir Sediment Removal & Management Project Working Group. The purpose of the ad hoc Working Group is to identify a responsible project design and sediment management program that reflects the configuration, aesthetics, habitat restoration, and vegetation management described in the Hahamongna Watershed Park Master Plan adopted by the Pasadena City Council in 2003. It is imperative that the project scope be appropriately scaled to provide adequate flood protection in the most environmentally responsible and respectful manner resulting in as little impact to Hahamongna Watershed Park and adjacent neighborhoods as possible. The six member Working Group is comprised of individuals with the background and expertise necessary to lead this critical initiative, which will shape the future of Hahamongna Watershed Park and our community.     BIG TEN BOWLS BIG TEN BOWL OVERVIEW Largest and most diverse bowl lineup in Big Ten history, with: o 12 different bowls and four other College Football Playoff bowls. o World class cities coast‐to‐coast featuring Big Ten alumni and fans. o Great opponents from the ACC, Big 12, Pac‐12, SEC, Mountain West and Conference USA. Selection parameters agreed to by the conference and bowls to ensure fresh and diverse experiences and destinations for student‐ athletes and fans. Big Ten teams will not go to the same bowls in back‐to‐back years and restrictions are in place on multiple and/or consecutive appearances within states or regions, with the exception of the Rose Bowl Game. COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF OVERVIEW (for more information on selection process, visit www.collegefootballplayoff.com) Comprised of Cotton, Fiesta, Orange, Peach, Rose and Sugar Bowls. Selection committee will choose top four teams, then rank and assign to semifinal sites. Selection committee will then assign next group of teams to play in other host bowls. Highest‐ranked champion from non‐contract conference guaranteed a berth. There is no limit on the number of teams from a conference that can take part in College Football Playoff bowls. Cotton, Fiesta and Peach Bowls will host displaced conference champions and non‐contract conference representative. Highest‐ranked available teams will fill any other College Football Playoff bowl berths. The 2015 Rose Bowl Game will be a national semifinal. If the Big Ten champion is not ranked among the top four, then it will play in the Cotton, Fiesta or Peach Bowl.

That Complaint is remarkable. It is in my experience a unique example of the pleader’s art. It cites to the epic of Gilgamesh, Woody Guthrie, the Declaration of Independence, Noah and The Great Flood, Game of Thrones , Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back , Star Trek , President Obama, and Euclid’s proof of the Infinity of Primes, among other references. It is well-written and compelling. In fact, it can be faulted only for a single—but significant—shortcoming: it fails to state a claim on which relief could be granted. Therefore, I grant the Defendants’ Motions to Dismiss. The Plaintiff, in succinct and pith-perfect fashion, stated the gravamen of his action as follows: “If the Plaintiff needed to sum up this entire case in one sentence, it is this: Two executives of the Disney Company are stalling the next evolution of human transportation on this planet.” 1 In other words, the Defendants are holding back the flying car.2 I.
