Patients will be receiving an initial vaccine dose at their first appointment. Second vaccination doses are not currently being prioritised to ensure the available vaccine can be distributed widely across the UK. Everyone will still receive their second dose within 12 weeks of their first. The second dose completes the course and is important for longer term protection.
