We've had a real taste of summer on Cliff Island today. (HOT, HAZY, and HUMID!!!) Not so a day ago. (I had the heat on at the CIA Hall) It has been a cold and rainy spring. I am so glad that summer is around the corner!!!

Here is what happened with the Cliff Island School Apr 13th - Trip to Long Island School for a Performance by The Children's Theater. Apr 27th - Dress up like a Book Character Day. Lunch and activities with parents. May 7th - Trip to Bowdoin College. We visited the Coastal Studies Center and the Admiral Perry Museum. May 13th - Picnic lunch on the "South Point" of Cliff with the Bowdoin College Group. May 14th - Trip to the "Main Land" for a tour of the Portland Observatory and Breakfast with Lesley MacVane. May 25th - Trip to Boston!!! We went to the Aquarium and IMAX Movie Theather. May 27th - A Debate at the School. Will and Chris debated the phrase "Under god" in the Pledge of Allegiance. We are now looking forward to June 10th - "Running the Loop" with Dale. June 12th - The End of Year Program. (Beware of Pirates!) June 14th - Last Day of School. Just a reminder - We could use extra help with Bottles and Cans this summer. Starting on July 5th, we will be meeting (at school) every Monday @ 10am. - Sweatshirts, bags and blankets are available at Cafe Cliff. We will also be selling these at the Olympics and Craft Fair.

As always, we want to thank everyone for their continued support. It really does take a village to raise a child. We want to thank Judy MacVane for all the great work she has done with our children. We start this summer season with the new entrance to our Griffins' Cove property and hope we can retrain ourselves away from crossing Dave/Bunk/ David MacVane's yard. There will be more ample and safer "parking" space for golf carts, bicycles, and, if necessary, cars just to the northeast. And, we hope to continue building another habitbetter dog management. “The Noise” by Dylan I was in my room telling ghost stories to my brother and the Up, Up in the sky I heard ducks quacking and I heard crows power was out and we had not a single thing to do. Then crowing and I heard planes flying by up in the sky. There’s a something strange happened. First our candle went out and I lot of noise. I heard a lot of noise up in the sky.
