2. Participating in some committees to solve some Urban Design problems as an advisor to the governorate of Erbil.(part time) 2007 -2009

i. Suggesting new urban regulations and policies of management and control to be applied in two important new neighborhoods in Erbil. ii. Suggesting regulations of Erbil city center. 3. Consultant (part time) in UN-HABITAT to prepare urban studies as a part of "Strengthen the Urban Sector Program". From July-2005 to March-2006.

4. Supervisor representative (part time) of GDPHP – MMPW for urban survey on Chybaish city with SGI-GHALI, an Italian company and Iraqi Nature Civil Society Organization, from August 2006- March 2007

5. Consultant in General Directorate of Physical Planning, Ministry of Municipalities and Public works, (part-time) to prepare urban studies (.2005- 2007). Four studies have been achieved during this period: - i. Planning and Design of river facade of Shatt-Al Arab city, Basra. ii. Social, environmental and economic study about housing in Marshlands- south of Iraq. iii. Socio-economic regional study of Shatt-Al Arab district settlements as a part of master plan updating study. . Urban Planning by using Public Participation (case study)- Chybaish city in Nasreia province.

Administration & design experiences

1. Head of private design bureau 1999-2003 (part time). Many villas, commercial buildings and plants had been designed and implemented during this period.

2. Director of Basra physical planning department. (Full time) 1986-1999. Ministry of Municipalities & Public works –Iraq. Many master-plans, detailed plans, and land division plans had been prepared in this period. The work included implementation of master plans and control of land uses for 14 cites within the Basra Province.

Achievements and rewards

1. Rewarded by Tamayouz Excellence Award & Coventry University as the (Supervisor of the year 2013). Three of my students have occupied the top 10 out of over 100 participating students with their graduation projects. The award has been judged by International Judging Panel at the Coventry University. 2. Invited by the Coventry University Faculty of Engineering & Computing as an Honorary Research Fellow for two years - 2013. The visit is not accomplished yet 3. Member of judging panel to evaluate the graduation projects of British Universities students in Tamayouz Excellence Award 2014) 4. Member of judging panel to evaluate the graduation projects of students in Cihan University -Erbil - (2014). 5.
