25 Warsaw Follow the footsteps of the great composer

The Chopin Route is a journey following the first twenty years of Fryderyk Chopin’s life, inseparably connected with the Area of Mazovia. The composer was born in 1810, in a small Mazovian village - Żelazowa Wola. A few months later, his family took up a residence in Warsaw, where young Chopin was educated and where he grew up. Beside Żelazowa Wola and Warsaw, the most important Mazovian towns, historically associated with his life, are Brochów and Sanniki. Based on the report by Marity Alban Juarez and Euro Pilot LLC for the Tourist Guidebook: ‘The Chopin’s Route’, Warsaw 2015

Mazovia, perceived as flat and monotonous, in terms of rivers and canoe routes is very attractive. Depending on your skills, time and preferences, you can go on rivers from a small stream like Jeziorka to the Queen of Polish rivers, the last large and wild river in Europe - the Vistula. You can sluggishly flow through the meadows of the Liwiec River or take a mountain trip on the swift small river Skrwa. Unbelievable? You can try it yourself - it’s really worth it!
