Of these 21,483 worked in Galway city. County Galway was the next most popular location (4,769), followed by Dublin city (232) and County Mayo (126). Of these 21,483 reside in Galway city and 18,712 reside in County Galway. County Mayo (1,196) and County Clare (496) were the next most popular locations for Galway city to draw workers from. Of these commuters 677 are women and 513 are men. The average journey time of workers who commute from Oranmore to Galway city and suburbs was 24 minutes and their average age was 39. Commuters to Galway: Tuam In 2016 there were 675 persons in the settlement of Tuam who commuted to Galway city and suburbs which equates to 20.6% of persons at work and living in Tuam. Of these commuters 370 are women and 305 are men. The average journey time of workers who commute from Tuam to Galway city and suburbs was 43 minutes and their average age was 40.
