Day 2:- Depart Wild Mahseer Tea Resort / Arrive Dirang. Enroute visit Tipi Orchidarium. (138 Kms / 5 Hours) (Breakfast & Dinner) ▪ After early breakfast, either go for River rafting on the Jia Boreli (Kameng River) or Jungle Trekking or simply stay back and enjoy the serene location of the resort. ▪ Checkout from the resort and proceed to Dirang, ▪ Enroute visit Tipi Orchidarium and Nag Mandir. Arunachal has the largest range of orchids in the country. Continue your drive and do not forget to keep your cameras handy as you cross beautiful waterfalls and get some spectacular views. ▪ On arrival in Dirang, Checkin and freshenup. ▪ Later afternoon, we will proceed for local sightseeing of Dirang including visit to Apple & Kiwi Garden (depending upon season), Sangti Valley and Dzong Fort. Dirang is also famous for hot water springs where people take bath to cure skin ailments. ▪ Dinner and Overnight in Dirang. Day 3:- Depart Dirang / Arrive Tawang. Enroute Sela Lake & Nuranang Falls. (140 Kms / 6 Hours) (Breakfast & Dinner) ▪ After early breakfast, checkout from the hotel, proceed to Tawang. On the way enjoy the beauty Sela Pass, Sela Lake, Jaswantgarh War Memorial, and majesty of Nuranang Falls. ▪ Arrive & check in to the hotel. Evening is free for leisure. ▪ Dinner and Overnight in Tawang. Day 4:- Tawang Sightseeing. (Breakfast & Dinner) ▪ After breakfast, we will proceed for local sightseeing of Tawang. ▪ Visit the world famous seventeenth century Tawang Monastery, also known as Galden Namgyal Lhatse which overlooks the wide Tawang Valley at a height of 10,000 ft. The monastery is a vast complex of 65 buildings housing Lamas and antique scriptures written in gold letters and ancient scripture, images and has an eight meters high gilded Buddha statue. It is the largest monastery in the Himalayan region and the second oldest monastery in Asia. ▪ Then visit to the Singsor Ani Gompa, this is one of the famous and beautiful tourist’s attraction to visit in this region. This monastery is located about 28km from district headquarter. It is a home to approximately 30 nuns. The architecture of this place is marvelous and depicts fine quality of engineering. ▪ Later visit the Gorsam Chorten. ▪ Then proceed to the War Memorial which is dedicated to the martyrs of the 1962 Sino-Indian war. The memorial is 40-foot-high and like a stupa in design. It is locally called ‘Namgyal Chortan’. The names of 2420 martyrs imprinted in gold on 32 black granite plagues. ▪ You can also visit the craft center in Tawang sells beautiful masks, hand woven carpets, jewellery in silver, coral and amber, ‘chubas’ the local dressand delightful affordable mementos. Evening at leisure. ▪ Dinner and Overnight in Tawang. Day 5:- Bhum La Pass with Sangestar & Pangatend Tso Lake. (Breakfast & Dinner) ▪ After breakfast, proceed to an exceptional tour to the Bhum La Pass. ▪ Bhum La Pass: At an elevation of 5,000 m above the sea level, the Bum La Pass marks the Indo-China border. A prominent attraction of Arunachal Pradesh, the place is a must visit but only when you have the special permit (on your own) from Office of the Deputy Commissioner in Tawang District, and then Indian army cantonment of Tawang. ▪ Please Note you will also have to take a local taxi in Tawang on direct payment basis to cover today’s places as our vehicles are not allowed. ▪ Later visit the Madhuri Lake, formed by a flash flood after an earthquake in the year 1950, Madhuri Lake is originally known as Shonga-tser Lake, which is one of the most popular lakes in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh. The lake was renamed so after the shooting of Bollywood movie Koyla, starring Madhuri Dixit, the beautiful actress. ▪ Then proceed to Pankang Teng Tso Lake (also known as P.T. Tso) is one of the most interesting lakes surrounded by the brilliance and beauty of Mother Nature. This lake is surrounded by a vivid backdrop of the snow-clad Himalayan Mountains and gushing cool waters of the rivers. In fact, the entire Tawang is a major tourist destination and it hosts a perfect blend of adventure tourism. ▪ Dinner and Overnight in Tawang. Day 6:- Depart Tawang / Arrive Bomdila. Evening Bomdila sightseeing. (190 Kms / 7 Hours) (Breakfast & Dinner) ▪ After breakfast, checkout from hotel and transfer to Bomdila (8,200 ft.) - the head quarter of West Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh and also known for its Buddhist monasteries. It has a lot of attractions for the visitors for its cool climate. ▪ On arrival check in to the hotel. Evening visit Bomdila Monastery. ▪ Dinner and Overnight in Bombdila. Day 7:- Depart Bombdila / Arrive Kaziranga National Park. Orchid Park & Tea Plantation. (225 Kms / 6 hrs) (Breakfast & Dinner) ▪ After early breakfast, checkout from the hotel and proceed Kaziranga National Park. ▪ One of the most sought after wildlife holiday destinations in India, Kaziranga National park’s 430 square kilometer area sprinkled with elephant-grass meadows, swampy lagoons, and dense forests is home to more than 2200 Indian one-horned rhinoceros, approximately 2/3rd of their total world population. ▪ The vast expanse of tall elephant grass, marshland, and dense tropical moist broadleaf forests undoubtedly makes the park look beautiful but it’s the presence of Brahmaputra river, which makes it look enigmatic. ▪ On arrival check in to the resort and freshen-up. ▪ Later in the evening visit the Orchid Park, the park is sprawling in the area of around 6 acres in the Durgapur village and is considered as the largest orchid park in the Northeast belt of India. ▪ Then visit the Tea Plantation. Many of these tea gardens located in the proximity of the Kaziranga National Park warm welcomes visitors are open for the public viewing. ▪ Back to Resort for Dinner. ▪ Dinner and Overnight in Kaziranga National Park. Day 8:- Kaziranga National Park. (Breakfast & Dinner) ▪ Early Morning start to explore Kaziranga National Park on back of elephant. Apart from world's endangered One Horn Indian Rhinoceros, the Park sustains half the world's population of genetically pure Wild Water Buffaloes, over 1000 Wild elephants and perhaps the densest population of Royal Bengal Tiger anywhere. ▪ We will return to the resort for breakfast. Afternoon we proceed for a jeep safari. ▪ Kaziranga National Park is also a bird watcher's paradise and home to some 500 species of Birds. The Crested Serpent Eagle, Palla's Fishing Eagle, Greyheaded Fishing Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Bar-headed goose, whistling Teal, Bengal Florican, Storks, Herons and Pelicans are some of the species found here. ▪ Evening come back to the resort for Dinner. ▪ Dinner and Overnight in Kaziranga National Park. Day 9:- Depart Kaziranga / Transfer to Shillong. Enroute Umium Lake. Shopping at Police Bazaar. (280 Kms / 6 Hours) (Breakfast & Dinner) ▪ Depart Kaziranga and transfer to Shillong, called 'Scotland of the East". Shillong is the only hill station in the country that is accessible from all sides. The name Shillong is derived from U-Shyllong, a powerful deity and is situated at an altitude of 1,491m above sea level. ▪ Enroute visit Umium Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. ▪ On arrival at Shillong, check into the hotel. In the evening you may visit Police Bazaar for some Street Shopping. ▪ Dinner and Overnight in Shillong. Day 10:- Excursion to Cherrapunjee. Elephanta Falls and Shillong Peak. (Breakfast & Dinner) ▪ After early breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.), the wettest place in the world. You will see the beautiful waterfall known as Nohkalikai. You can also explore the caves known as Mawsmai. ▪ Later visit Eco Park, Dainthlen Falls, Nohsngithiang Falls, Thangkharang Park. ▪ Evening return to Shillong, enroute visit Elephanta falls, the British name of what the local Khasi people once referred to as Ka Kshaid Lai Pateng Khohsiew (or "Three Steps Waterfalls") since the falls actually consisted of three sections in succession.

Project –Stage-I (600 MW) on Tawang Chu River in Tawang District by NHPC Tawang District of Arunachal Pradesh. 1. The above recommendation of the FAC were communicated to the State Government vide this Ministry’s letter of even number dated 30th April, 2012. 2. Subsequently, referring to the recommendations of the FAC, a reference was received from the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh clarifying that Biodiversity Study has been undertaken and conservation plan prepared separately for both projects envisaging an investment of Rs. 5.40 crores for Tawang Stage-I and Rs. 4.53 for Tawang Stage-II project. The same has been incorporated in the EIA and EMP reports of the projects which were duly considered by the Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC) and MoEF while according environmental clearance to the project. 3.
