COLLEGE OF ARTS & SCIENCES PSYCHOLOGY St. Clair County Community College BS in Psychology Transfer Guide The Psychology Department at the University of Michigan-Flint (UM-Flint) and St. Clair County Community College (SC4) have an articulation agreement to provide an easy transition for SC4 students transferring to UM-Flint to pursue their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology. Psychology is the branch of knowledge concerned with the study of behavior and mental processes. Many career choices can benefit from a degree in psychology. For example, fields such as education, law, medicine, social services, management, advertising, environmental design, and public administration draw upon psychological principles. The BS in Psychology program is designed for the student who is preparing for advanced study in professional psychology or related field, as well as for the student with a general interest in human behavior. This program can be completed in conjunction with a minor in business, communications, health care administration, marketing, public health, substance abuse, or many others, thereby enhancing the student’s career opportunities.
