Please join EnviroLab Asia for a joint conference with the LIASE programs at Whittier College & Occidental College on March 4! The conference is free and open to the public.
Globalization & Sovereignty Conference Examining Environmental Issues in Asia
The conference will examine the tension between globalization and sovereignty in Asia as linked to environmental issues, as demands from global capital often lead to environmental issues that local communities must deal with. This conference will bring together faculty and student research from the three Southern California Luce Foundation-funded programs: the Luce Initiative on Asian Studies and the Environment at Whittier College, the Luce China-Environment Program at Occidental College, and EnviroLab Asia at the Claremont Colleges in collaboration with Yale-NUS.
