A breathtaking ascent in the cliffs above the rushing brook between Meiringen and Hasliberg. Not for the faint hearted! The ascent requires surefootedness and a head for heights. Some of the passages are similar to via ferrata. Continuous, uphill holding rope, no railings. Children must be secured by adults. Observe the information boards. The Hasliberg offers an interesting settlement pattern that has grown over the centuries with numerous beautiful farmhouses, groups of buildings, gardens and old paths. For the approx. 2.5 h walk through the Hasliberg villages we recommend the brochure "Hasliberger Dorfweg". You can get it at the tourist center.

Visit the church, which was buried in a torrent catastrophe (2nd half 15th century). The interesting excavations can be admired below the Michaelschurch. On this occasion we recommend you to take a look at the present church with its characteristic ceiling - wooden construction, interesting frescos, the large pipe organ and the free-standing tower. The castle Resti was built around 1250 in the Haslital. The castle served to protect the traffic routes in the valley and the passes Grimsel, Joch and Susten. The ruin was restored in 2004 with information boards, a steel staircase and a square surrounding the castle. The walk from Meiringen railroad station to Resti Castle takes about 30 minutes. The nature trail brings you closer to the exciting connections between climate, man and natural hazards. The start of the nature trail is in the impressive avalanche bunker behind the Alpenrose restaurant in Obermaad (Gadmen). The trail continues over grazing meadows, through refreshingly cool mountain forests, along rushing streams and through the lovely village centers of Gadmen and Obermaad. The impressive sawmill with a water wheel was built in 1896 and was regularly used for wood processing until the 1970s. Since the summer of 2000 the restored sawmill has been open to visitors.
