A Masterful Weekend Of Water Polo

Tony Azevedo Strikes A Pose: Three-Time Olympian Takes Part In Worldwide Photo Project For Charity

In 2008 USA Water Polo Three-Time Olympian Tony Azevedo posed for the artistic photography book “Champions.” Produced by Anderson and Low, the portfolio, which was several years in the works features a host of world class athletes from all sports. Joining Azevedo were the likes of 2009 Venus Williams, Terrell Owens, and soccer star Thierry Henry. The athletes all posed in some form of nudity for the shoot which in turn is designed to benefit the Elton John AIDS CALENDAR OF foundation and raise awareness of HIV/AIDS around the EVENTS globe. SkipShot magazine checked in with Tony to find out his thoughts about taking part in this project. Women’s 20 and Under Q. Tony, how did you get involved in the “Champions” National Championships project? July 21-23, 2009 A. I got involved with the project after Elton John and company Stockton, CA contacted me and told me what the focus was. I would have to pay all my own expenses, but I would be doing something Women’s National to promote the AIDS research and supporting AIDS victims in Championships Africa. As these women were putting make-up all over me I was a little apprehensive, but five minutes after the Speedo Cup photographer started shooting, I was running around naked November 6-8, 2009 (boys) telling jokes. What has been the response from friends and family that have seen the book or know of the project? Holiday Cup A.
