Game Day Program
26TH DEC - 27TH DEC m Game Day Progra Round 2 - Vs MELBOURNE ACES Coach's call The reigning champions to kick off our season? Bring it on. A couple of games against the last year's champions brings with it an opportunity to test ourselves against the very best early on and gauge our new-look squad for 2020/21. This season, I'm excited at the potential of our offence. With the likes of Zach Wilson, Tucker Nathans, Boss Moanaroa & Donald Lutz in our squad for this series, we've got legitimate power up and down the line-up. Best not park your car anywhere close to MIT Ballpark on gameday! You can also expect us not rely on the long ball to pace our offence. Chavez Young, Samad Taylor and former ABL Helms Award winner Mikey Reynolds are amongst the fastest guys the league has seen and will be a threat to steal bases every time they get on base. Our pitching was extremely competitive last season and we’ll see our best local and interstate Australian arms return. Keep your eye on left hander, Shawn Morimando who's going to be a key piece in the starting rotation for the 2020/21 season. Kind Regards, Keith Ward Lifeline Canberra Cavalry Coach/Manager SERIES PREVIEW Sunny Singh - General Manager How things can change in an off-season... With the shortened season, it is imperative after the experience that has been the year that our Cavalry avoid a sluggish start to the 2020, it is finally time to turn our attention to season. -
