Living by the sea is an amazing experience: being able to wake up every morning and smell the sea air, feel the sea breeze, hear the crashing of the waves and see the beautiful coastline. At Milne Holiday Parks, we have made this a reality by positioning all of our parks along the scenic County Down coast; in Newcastle, Kilkeel and Cranfield. Over the past 20 years, our family-run business has been creating experiences for you to live and holiday by the sea. We have 4 holiday parks across County Down in Northern Ireland; Mourneview in Newcastle, Silvercove outside Kilkeel, Shanlieve in Cranfield East, and Cranfield Bay in Cranfield West. Three of our holiday parks are within 3.5 miles of Kilkeel, which is a small fishing town with all the essentials that you will need. With its rustic harbour, fish markets, craft shops, supermarket, beauty rooms and coffee shops, Kilkeel boasts of charm and has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.. The town also has a primary care centre second to none, where caravan residents can transfer their medical care for the summer. Our fourth park, Mourneview, is 1.4 miles away from Newcastls, it is a busy seaside town with a homely feel. In Newcastle you will be spoilt for choice with a wide range of activites to choose from such as, afternoon tea in the Slieve Donard Hotel, shoe shopping on the main street, playing golf on the famous Royal County Down course or hiking up the highest mountain of the Mournes at 850m. We are proud of our parks’ family-friendly environments. To maintain this, on each park we have a full-time on-site management team and a full-time maintenance team to take care of your daily needs. If you want to go for an invigorating hike, you can do so If horse riding is your idea of fun then Kilkeel, Annalong through the Mourne Mountains. Alternatively, you have and Newcastle all have local horse riding clubs where the option of a leisurely stroll through Kilbroney Forest you can take riding lessons, go on treks through the Park while learning the legend of Finn MacCool. There Mournes and even learn how to showjump. are also the impressive forest parks at Tollymore and Castleward, as well as the Peace Maze at Castlewellan During the summer months our holiday parks are in the Forest Park to explore. They all offer great options perfect location to keep you entertained, if its music, for family days out, with a multitude of outdoor forest agriculture or food, we have you covered: activities available. Don’t worry if you don’t have a mountain bike, at Castlewellan Forest Park you can rent one from One Great Adventure. They also offer canyoning, archery, orienteering, raft building and bushcraft experiences. Don’t worry, we will keep you safe and entertained, and so will our local entertainment options. Summer is a time to make memories with family and friends. Every year our team of site managers organise fun days on each of our parks. On these days there will be bouncy castles, disco domes, sumo wrestling, face painters, balloon modelling and much more. If you fancy an Easter-egg hunt, pop into Shanlieve, or if you like boogieing the night away, head to Mourneview. Whenever the sea is too cold or the clouds are out on our Blue Flag beach, Kilkeel, Newcastle and Newry all have great family swimming pools and sports facilities that will keep you and your family entertained for hours. If you would prefer a day away, Newry has some great options. Spend the morning doing a spot of shopping in The Quays or Buttercrane Shopping Centre, get an American Inspired lunch in Eddie Rocket’s or opt for the delicious Deli Lites. And why not finish your day of, at the newly renovated and refurbished Omniplex or bowling alley. Need a night off from cooking? Dont worry, there are many amazing restaurants in the local area. If you are in Mourneview, head to Villa Vinci or Brunel’s. If you are in Cranfield, Fusion and The Whistledown Hotel in Warrenpoint offer tasty grub, and, if your lucky, you might even catch a live band. Cranfield Bay Holiday Park This family-orientated park boasts year round fun with a new state-of-the-art playground, on-site shop, games room and planned fun days. Cranfield Bay is situated on Cranfield’s Blue Flag Beach, with endless views of Carlingford Lough running along the coast to Greencaslte. Cranfield Bay beside the beach. This park has amazing views of the Mourne Mountains and Carlingford Lough and is located on Cranfield’s Blue Flag beach.
