MCJROTC UNIFORM STANDARDS A
GROOMING & UNIFORM STANDARDS Cadets are expected to maintain high standards of appearance and conduct on and off campus. CADETS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLY with MCJROTC grooming and personal appearance standards as stipulated in NOMMA regulations and Marine Corps Order 1533.6E. Personal appearance and wearing the uniform is a significant part of a cadet's MCJROTC grade. The grooming regulations apply to military, NOMMA and civilian attire when worn in conjunction with Academy functions. Grooming and personal appearance standards are required to be followed daily and at all NOMMA events (i.e. graduation, prom, dances, sporting events, summer camps and extracurricular activities). Cadets who refuse or repeatedly fail to adhere to the prescribed grooming and personal appearance standards will receive disciplinary action according to NOMMA discipline policy. 1. Common Standards: All haircuts/hairstyles, for both male and female cadets will be checked every day, during inspection, and will contribute toward exam grades. a. Haircuts and hair styles are not permitted to be faddish or eccentric. Mohawks, derivations of Mohawks and cuts or styles with shaved or designed portions of the scalp are not permitted. Braids and/or derivations of braids, including locks and twists, may be permitted for females only if hair is firmly secured according to the LONG HAIR regulations noted below (and per MARADMIN 622/15). b. No designs are allowed to the hair; only one straight part in the hair is authorized. c. Hair must be a natural color (blonde, brown, black) and be consistent over the entire head (no multi-colored braids or spots). d. Shaving/slashing of eyebrows is NOT authorized. -
(BBL™) / LASER HAIR REMOVAL Pre- and Post-Care Instructions
Broad Band Light (BBL™) / LASER HAIR REMOVAL Pre- and Post-Care Instructions Please read the following carefully, as this information will prepare you for BBL / Laser Hair Removal, what to expect, and how to care for the treated area. PRE - LASER INSTRUCTIONS 1. Shave the site/s to be treated the evening before each treatment session. (Avoid waxing for 2 weeks before and throughout treatment course – as waxing diminishes laser target.) 2. Also, minimize sun exposure, as best as possible, for at least 1 month before and after treatment. Wear protective clothing (hat, etc.) and a high SPF (at least SPF 30) sunblock to protect the treated area/s from direct sun exposure. 3. Also, do not use aspirin, aspirin containing medications or alcohol for at least 1 week before and for the first 2 days after treatment. Take Tylenol or another pain reliever which contains no aspirin or ibuprofen, if needed. 4. Apply EMLA / ELA-Max / Topicaine (or other topical anesthetic) at least 1 hour before treatment under saran wrap, if needed. WHAT TO EXPECT ♦ BBL/Laser-treated hairs will still be visible / present after your treatment. However, they are now injured or destroyed at the level of the hair follicle (“root”) and will soon fall out (usually, within the next 2-5 days up to 2 weeks). ♦ The treated area may redden and/or swell somewhat. A mild sunburn sensation may be noticed for up to several hours after treatment. This is caused by the BBL/laser energy, and represents inflammation, and not infection. It is normal and expected part of healing process. -

Shaking the Trees Free
FREE SHAKING THE TREES PDF Azra Tabassum | 74 pages | 25 Jun 2014 | Words Dance Publishing | 9780692232408 | English | United States Shaking the Viral Tree It was remastered with most of Gabriel's catalogue in The tracks are creatively re-ordered, ignoring chronology. Some of the tracks were different from the album versions. New parts were recorded for several tracks in Gabriel's Real World Studios. Most songs are edited for time, either Shaking the Trees radio, single, or video edit versions. The remix is similar to the remix, which appeared as the B-side of the "Walk Through the Fire" single, but is edited down to 3m 45s long, as here. This version is a piano and voice arrangement, that Shaking the Trees far simpler than the highly produced version on Peter Gabriel Its sparseness is closer to the version that Gabriel recorded with Robert Fripp on Fripp's Exposure In interviews, Gabriel has said that he preferred the version, and it was that version with Fripp that he chose to overdub in German as the flipside of the single "Biko" released before Ein deutsches Album Although this album highlights songs from Peter Gabriel's earlier albums, tracks from Peter Gabriel II, or Scratch and the soundtrack to the film Birdy are not included. Say Anything Although Shaking the Trees made "In Your Eyes" perhaps the most well known Peter Gabriel song aside from " Sledgehammer ", it failed to crack the Shaking the Trees 20 and was thus omitted from the album in Shaking the Trees of five of the other eight tracks from So —four other hits and album track "Mercy Street". -

Michael Tsangaris, University of Piraeus, Greece Undoubtedly, all past media forms held possibilities for alternative communications but most of the times commodification that turns everything into ‘Spectacle’ degenerated such options. Even some of the most experimental forms of painting, photography, music or moving images, after all, removed far away from the original ideological frames in which they were initially created, and got absorbed by the mainstream cultural industry. In fact, alternative media forms such as aggressive rock music, street graffiti or tattoos, were initially used to express distinctive youth cultural scenes or counter-movements challenging the dominant culture. -
In the Transition from Stage to Arena, Live Music Is Remade

Intimate Live Girls Benjamin Halligan Keywords: aura, intimacy, kissing, authenticity, liveness, social media, spectacle, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Terry Richardson, Peter Gabriel Abstract: The arena concert requires a particular type of liveness of performance in order to transcend impersonal mass entertainment. Liveness here looks to authenticity and happenstance, privileges personal communications and seeks to live in the moment, and in this way the live performance then meets and matches or even surpasses the virtual life of the artist or group. The concert must be both mass spectacle and an individual and singular experience for those witnessing and participating in it. Without these latter essential attributes, which can be read as the auratic and authentic replacing the virtual, the arena concert falls short of ontological expectations of live music. In recent years the mise-en-scène of the arena concert has become calibrated to female artists with, seemingly, a concomitant feminisation of the event. In this, the space is often given over to intimacy, empathy, and presented as an insight into the life, and even philosophy, of the performer. -
