Transfer scholarships are provided to transfer students who have at lease a 3.0 or higher with 12 hours earned on 2 different levels: 3.0-3.49 is provided $1000 per year (split in half for each semester) and 3.5-4.0 is provided $1500 per year (split in half for each semester). YSU also offers a scholarship for Phi Theta Kappa members with proof of membership ($1500 per year, split in half for each semester). PTK certificates can be emailed to Kim Avery, Associate Director of Admissions, at [email protected] and any scholarship questions for transfer can also be directed to her. YSU does pro-rate scholarship amounts down to 6 hours each semester (6-8 hours receives 50% of earned amounts and 9-11 hours receives 75% of earned amounts). YSU transfer scholarships are renewable for up to 3 years as long as the student is maintaining a YSU gpa of 3.0 or higher with 12 hours earned per year.
