In addition, in 2003, The song Death to All But Metal was included in a CD album called Hey, That's What I Call Sludge! Volume 1 is put out on the Metal Sludge website. Their cover of Aldo Nova's Fantasy was used as an introductory theme for MTV Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory program. On November 27, 2007, Metal Skool performed original songs as well as cover versions of KISS songs in the hot Gene Simmons, which can be seen against the backdrop of Gene Simmons' Gene Simmons Family Jewels reality show. In the same year, they also appeared in Las Vegas in an episode of High Gas Price. In an interview with Michael Starr, he claims that the band's name wasn't inspired by Steel Dragon, the band with zack Wilde and Mark Wahlberg in The Rock Star (in which Starr makes a cameo appearance). In May 2008, the band signed with Republic Records (owned by Universal Records), announcing plans for a new studio album. Steel Panther released Feel the Steel on June 8, 2009 in the United Kingdom and October 6, 2009 in North America via Universal Republic, making it their major debut on the label. Feel the Steel debuted at number one on the Billboard Comedy Chart, at Number 123 on the Billboard 200 and eventually peaked at number 98 on the Billboard 200. The recording includes hits, Community Property and Death to All But Metal, as well as notable guest vocal performances by Corey Taylor, Justin Hawkins and M. Shadows. The track Eyes of a Panther is included in the soundtrack to the video game Skate 3. (quote needed) Once collaborator Dean Cameron, also credited with co-writing Supersonic Sex Machine on the band's next album Balls Out, directed and co-wrote an experimental presentation in an attempt to land Steel Panther on its own television program. The record's success also attracted the attention of the Grammys, making it to Best Comedy Album Voting in October 2010, but failed to reach a nomination. (quote needed) Balls Out and British Invasion (2011-2013) Home article: Balls Out Steel Panther released their second album Balls Out on October 31, 2011 in the United Kingdom and November 1, 2011 in North America also through Universal Republic. Balls Out continued the revival of the heavy metal genre and debuted at number 1 on the UK iTunes Rock chart, surpassing TH1RT3EN from Megadeth and Lou Reed and Lulu Metallica. Balls Out also debuted at number four on iTunes Rock, number 40 on the Billboard 200 and number one on the Billboard Comedy chart with sales in the first week of 12,000 copies in the United States. (quote is necessary) Due to their growing Steel Panther were invited by Def Leppard to join them and co-headliners Mytli Kroe as special guests on the Mirrorball Tour in December 2011. Exactly a week after finishing a tour of the British Arena in London with Def Leppard and Myutly Kroe, Steel Panther opened for Guns N' Roses at the Forum in Los Angeles, California, December 21, 2011. On December 6, 2011, Steel Panther announced their second solo tour of the UK in support of their newest album, Balls Out. Tickets for the show went on sale on December 9, 2011, and many ticket providers sell out their allocations within a month. The Brazzers sponsored the Australian Steel Panther tour in early October 2012, which sold out in Brisbane, Sydney (two shows), Melbourne and Adelaide. The next headline of the UK tour took place in November 2012. At the end of 2012, Steel Panther's European tour was a huge success. They played sold-out shows, especially in Germany. Steel Panther released their first British Invasion DVD in September 2012. The DVD was released worldwide on October 22, 2012. The DVD was shot at the Brixton Academy in London and includes a two-hour concert/documentary based on the band's sold-out British tour. Steel Panther played on the main stage at the Download Festival in June 2012, during which they were joined on stage by Corey Taylor of Slipknot to play Death to All But Metal. Taylor wore wellies on stage. They played in front of a crowd of more than 100,000. Steel Panther toured Australia in December 2013 with the support of Buckcherry and Fosie. The shows were sold out in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth between December 6 and 12. Tour. They toured Europe during February and March 2014. In support of their latest album, Steel Panther began touring North America in May 2014, their first headlined tour of America. In June, they moved to Europe and continued touring until August 2014. On April 1, 2014, the band released their third studio album, All You Can Eat, on the independent label Open E Music through Kobalt Label Services. The album was officially announced in September 2013. The first single from the album was Party Like Tomorrow Is the End of the World. The second single, The Burden of Being Wonderful, was released on January 21, 2014. The third single, Gloryhole, was released in April 2014 on VEVO Steel Panther. On March 26, 2014, the album was leaked to the Internet and is available for download on various sites, most likely after it was broadcast by the German tabloid Bild. The live broadcast was approved by Steel Panther. (quote needed) It was mentioned that the show in Sydney recorded for the DVD for the luxury release of All You Can Eat, however it is currently unknown whether this will be a release only for Australia. On June 15, 2014, Steel Panther played on the main stage of the Download Festival in Castle Donington, United Kingdom. They were watched by more than 100,000 people and shared the stage with Alter Bridge and Aerosmith. In June 2014, the band announced a short UK tour with four dates scheduled for March 2015, with the support of Skindred and The Lounge Kittens. The band sells out almost all the tour locations, including Wembley Arena, London. In April 2015, the band appeared in a music video for Ninja Sex Party's song Road Trip to share their sexual exploits this year. Michael Starr contributes to the vocals of 6969 on the third album NSP Attitude of the City as the head of Dick Senior.
