Nintendo continua ad espandersi sul mercato mobile Si sa, in questo periodo la grande N sta passando uno dei suoi periodi migliori degli ultimi anni grazie al boom di vendite di Switch, ma la compagnia non si sta certo adagiando sui suoi successi, anzi, sta osando anche di più: quasi contemporaneamente all’annuncio delledimissioni di Tatsumi Kimishima è stata resa nota una partnership tra il colosso giapponese e Cygames, una piccola casa di sviluppo di Tokyo che, dal 2011, produce videogiochi prevalentemente per sistemi IOS e Android. Subito dopo l’annuncio, è stato presentato il primo titolo, ovviamente per dispositivi mobile, che nascerà da questa collaborazione: Dragalia Lost. Ciò non significa però che Nintendo cesserà i suoi rapporti con DeNA, grazie alla quale sono nati Miitomo, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp e Super Mario Run; inoltre si occupa anche della gestione degli account Nintendo. La compagnia è persino disposta a cooperare con altre aziende per crescere all’interno del mercato mobile. I piani di Nintendo a tal proposito non sono cambiati: la sua presenza al di fuori delle console si baserà su IP già esistenti così da diffonderne la popolarità a macchia d’olio; in secondo piano, punta a trasformare questo business in una delle sue principali fonti di guadagno. Affective Evaluation: Dragalia Lost Alexa Tarrayo, 301225457 Gordon Huang, 301247073 Joelle Lei, 301274701 Introduction Dragalia Lost is an action role playing game (RPG) and is the creation of a joint development team of Nintendo and Cygames, available on IOS and Android. Accompanied by cute, Japanese style visuals and catchy music, Dragalia Lost makes for an exciting experience at first glance. Dragalia Lost features an array of different aspects that are all included in the experience of playing the game, including a combat mode, a gatcha (summoning random members to the party) aspect, castle upgrading, and training and upgrading the members of your party. However, the primary focus of the evaluation team aims to discover users’ reaction to the first fifteen minutes of the game. As mobile gaming is so saturated that most merely download, try, and delete, the evaluation team looks to investigate how captivating Dragalia Lost is by letting users play through the tutorial. The tutorial features mostly combat and story as the game’s primary “pull” and therefore, the following report will focus on this portion of the game. So when they announced that their flagship racing franchise was coming to all Mobile Devices I was not surprised. Mario Kart Tour starts you off by giving you a free character to begin with. I was lucky and began with my personal favorite racer in Toad. I was excited by the get-go. Needlesstosay, that excitement turned into annoyance when I found out that in order to get the best score in some races is to play as the right racers, with the right vehicle, and correct glider to be able to obtain the most amount of points. I felt cheated when I was pulling in first place every time and not getting top reward due to the fact that I prefer to play as Toad and no one else.
