The collection includes journals, flyers, newsletters, posters, and other ephemera, as well as correspondence of Al Appel. Some major topics represented are human rights, especially in South America, Russian , and Communism in China and Cuba. Particularly well represented are the Socialist Organizing Committee and the Organizing Committee for an Ideological Center.
