Diocesan Prayer Cycle 1st July – 30th September “We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers. We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labour prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ” Paul writing to the Christians in Thessalonica. I am conscious that several people have prayed for me since the day I was born (in 1961!). I have also always prayerfully asked a number of friends to commit to praying regularly for me and have seen the work of intercession as a vital part of our life together as Christians. This prayer diary invites us all to engage in this ministry as part of our care for each other and also as a co-participants in the mission and ministry we share. Let’s see this as a three-month adventure in prayer. Giving thanks for you, This month... how might you pray for environmental issues? For example, you might focus on ‘clean air, pure water, rich earth’; on the need for individual/national/international attitude & behaviour change; for those most affected by climate change & pollution... How might you be part of the answer to your prayers? For example, you might reduce your carbon footprint; cut down on single-use plastics; feed the birds in your garden; write to your MP about promoting renewable energy; sign up for the BCM in Creation Care!
