DFA-170 A convenient feature in DragonForce is the ability to easily files into your department archive or groups to quickly share them among users. Uploading files can be done in a variety of ways and is possible from both the web and mobile apps.

Files can either be uploaded by browsing your computer’s system or simply ‘dragging and dropping’ then into DragonForce from the desktop.

This document will demonstrate the different ways to upload a file into DragonForce. The department archive is essentially a shared storage space where you may place files that will be accessible to all of the members of a DragonForce department. The department archive typically contains frequently used files and images such as - floorplans of critical infrastructure, mug shots, reference guides and emergency procedure documents. All users of a department have access to the archive and can copy these files to groups or their private .

To access the department archive, the “” (1) and select “Department Archive”. In the department archive, you can access shared files and documents, or upload new ones.

You can also organize these files into folders. To create a new folder, right click anywhere in the window, then click “New” (2), then select “Folder” (3). This will instruct you to name the new folder and will then allow you to add files and documents. One way to upload a file into DragonForce is by browsing for the file in the computer’s storage system and uploading it into the department archive.

Right-click anywhere in the Select “Choose Files” (1), browse your window, then select “Upload computers files and select the appropriate Files(s)”. file(s) to upload. Then select “Upload” (2). Another way to upload a file into DragonForce is by simply “dragging and dropping” the file from your desktop into the department archive. To do this have the “File Manager” window open, and the folder you want the file in open.

To ‘Drag and Drop’ a file, simply select a file from your desktop or computer’s file folder, and drag the file to DragonForce’s “File Manager” Window, The window will appear green and you can release the file to upload it into the department archive. You can also upload a file directly into a group. You can either take a file from the department archive and copy it into the group, or upload a file directly into the group from your desktop. If you upload the file directly from your desktop, the file will only be accessible to those users in the group.

Open the “Group Manager” window (1) and select the group you Then click “Choose Files” (1), select the files, and want the file uploaded to (2). Then right click anywhere in the click “Upload” (2) files window. Select “Upload File(s)” (3). You can also upload a file into a group by simply dragging the object into the window and “dropping” it there. These files can come from either the department archive or your desktop.

To upload a file from the department archive, select the file you wish to load, then drag it into the “Group Manager” window. Once the window turns green ‘drop’ the file by releasing the click.

Uploading a file from the desktop is done the same way. Click and drag the file from the desktop or the computers into the DragonForce “Group Manager” window. Once the window turns green, it is okay to release the file. You can also upload files directly from your mobile device. These files can be uploaded from the device’s file storage or any compatible apps such as Google Drive or Dropbox.

To begin, click the “Archive” tab. Then, click “Upload File”. Finally, select the source you are selecting the file from and upload the file. If you don’t want an entire department to be able to view a file, but only a certain group, you can upload files directly to a group. This allows you to limit access to the file to group members.
