RESUMEN Se analizará los discursos del presidente Lula entre los años 2003 y 2006, en diálogo con las cosmovisiones de la CUT y el PT en el período, para distinguir cuáles son las ideas y principios en las cuáles se estructura el ethos identitario de tipo colectivo que comparten entre Lula-Partido-Sindicato. Para ello, se diferenciará entre los valores que son positivamente considerados como parte de un “nosotros axiológico”, versus aquellos que pueden ser pensados de forma negativa como un “otros axiológico”. Pensar los marcos cognitivos compartidos por el presidente en funciones y sus aliados sociales y políticos en una de las pocas potencias emergentes con proyección global y predominio regional en América Latina supone hilvanar la filigrana de las ideas, valores y principios que moldearon el “sueño” del progresismo brasileño en el instante en que - al decir del antropólogo Stefan Sweig- “el país del futuro” se tornó realidad.
