ASSIST LEADERS G 21 Shannon Thompson, 3.2 apg Baldwin continues to be one of the most consistent players for BSU. The 5-7 guard is G 5 Samantha Baldwin, 2.5 apg currently averaging 9.3 points and 5.5 rebounds through five games. She has tallied G 22 Melissa Borstner, 2.3 apg double-figure scoring on four occasions this season. In addition to Baldwin, the Bea- G 20 Anna Hebrink, 2.2 apg vers have had strong play from freshmen Melissa Borstner and Ellie Wessling, along with sophomore Jessie Althoff. Borstner and Wessling are the team’s leading scorers STEALS LEADERS entering Friday with a 10.8 per game average. Althoff is currently averaging 8.5 points G/F 2 Ellie Wessling, 2.0 spg and 4.7 rebounds. G 21 Shannon Thompson, 2.0 spg G 5 Samantha Baldwin, 1.7 spg The Beavers are 0-2 in nonconference play after struggling against MSU Moorhead and Minnesota, Crookston last weekend. BSU failed to score a basket for the first seven minutes of the contest against the Golden Eagles. BALDWIN A DOUBLE-FIGURE MACHINE Samantha Baldwin tallied only one double-figure scoring outing last season for the Beavers with 10 points against U-Mary. However, Baldwin has become a new player of sorts thus far in the 2010-11 season. She has tallied double-figure scoring if four-of-six games and tallied her first career double-double against the College of St. Scholastica. Baldwin scored in double figures in seven games as a freshman. Her 13 rebounds against CSS marks the third time in her career she has grabbed over 10 rebounds.
