(Wis.) @ SJU W 2­1 The good news for Concordia on Saturday against perennial league power 3 vs. U. of Mary (N.D.) W 2­1 Macalester was that the Cobbers were able score two goals and stop their 11 at UC­Santa Cruz L 0­4 conference scoreless streak. Unfortunately, the struggling Macalester offense 13 at St. Thomas L 1­3 picked the wrong time to break out of their slump. When all the dust had 16 GUSTAVUS L 0­3 settled at the Jake Christiansen Athletic Complex, the Scots had come away with a 4­2 victory. 23 at St. Olaf T 0­0 2OT 26 HAMLINE L 0­4 Concordia came out in the opening 20 minutes and looked like they were 30 at St. Mary’s L 0­2 ready to pull off the upset as they had several good scoring chances and were able to post multiple shots at the Macalester net. OCTOBER______5 UW­SUPERIOR W 6­3 The Scots however took advantage of their opportunities and scored the 7 at Bethel L 0­1 opening goal at 14:35. They would add another in the 33rd minute to take a 10 AUGSBURG L 0­3 2­0 lead into the break. 14 MACALESTER L 2­4 15 UPPER IOWA 1 p.m. Cobber junior Brandon Root pulled Concordia to within one goal when he 21 at Carleton 1 p.m. netted his fifth goal of the year less than nine minutes into the second period. 22 vs. Central (Iowa) @ Carleton 1 p.m. 25 U. OF MARY (N.D.) 1 p.m. Concordia was never able to get the equalizer and Macalester reestablished 28 ST. JOHN’S 3 p.m. their two­goal cushion at 67:40 when Jake Rocke scored the second of his two 31 MIAC PLAYOFFS ­ Semifinal TBA goals on the day. That goal proved to be the deciding factor in the game. The Scots added to their lead at 78:32 when Mike Samuelson scored his second NOVEMBER______goal of the year. 4 MIAC PLAYOFFS ­ Final TBA Cobber freshman Lane Muzzana scored the second Concordia goal when he finished off a pass from senior co­captain Caleb Husmann. Muzzana's goal at 81:30 was his second of the season.

For the game, Macalester and Concordia traded chances but the Scots were able to hold a 22­15 advantage in shots. Both goalies made seven saves in the game. Macalester's Ryan Palmer made just enough stops to earn his fifth win of the year.

College L 1­2 OT PEACOCK HEAD COACH: Chad Leonard 15 at Concordia 1 p.m. Chad Leonard was named head women's soccer coach at Upper Iowa University in November 2003. He was given the additional duties of head 18 12 p.m. men's soccer coach in January 2005. Leonard joined UIU as the assistant 19 at University of Wis.­Parkside 4 p.m. men's soccer coach prior to the 2002 season and also served as the assistant 21 at Ashford University 2 p.m. women's coach during the 2003 season. 28 DAKOTA WESLEYAN 2 p.m. Leonard began his coaching career in 1995 at Hilbert College in Hamburg, N.Y., located just south of Buffalo. He served as the head men's and assistant women's soccer coach. In the fall of 2001, he coached at Scio Central High School. Leonard also coached in the Scio Youth Soccer Program. Leonard earned his B.S. in Criminal Justice from Hilbert College, where he was a three­year starter and two­time MVP for the soccer team.

Leonard and his wife Kristen have two children, Cole and Hannah.
