The Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE) will conduct Joint Entrance Examination, 2012 on the basis of syllabi of Tripura Joint Entrance Examination (TJEE) as updated in 2008 at Dharmanagar , Kailasahar, Udaipur and Agartala , for preparing merit list for admission to Engineering, Medical, Technical and other Professional Degree Courses against available seats reserved for the State of Tripura. The programme of TJEE for four different subjects is as follows: Date & Day 11 A.M. to 1 P. M. 2 P. M. to 4 P. M. 25th April’ 2012(Wednesday) Physics Chemistry 26th April’ 2012(Thursday) Mathematics Biology Question paper of each subject of examination will be of 100 marks comprising of Multiple Choice Questions ( MCQ ). Candidates seeking admission (*) to Engineering / Technical Degree Courses (Group-A) will have to appear in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and those seeking admission (*) to various Degree Courses of Medical ( including MBBS & BDS) / Veterinary / Agricultural / Fisheries and others (Group-B) will have to appear in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Candidates desiring to take chances in both the above groups (Group-C) will have to appear in all the four subjects. (*) It is to be noted that the admission of candidate to a College / University will subject to the fulfilment of eligibility criteria regarding cut-off marks and others as specified by the respective departments of State & Central Governments/ Institution/ Council / Body. ELIGIBILITY FOR APPEARING AT THE JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (a) Candidate must be a citizen of India. (b) Candidate must be a permanent resident of Tripura and either the candidate or his/her parent must have been residing in the state of Tripura continuously for not less than 10 (ten) years immediately prior to the date of making application for appearing at the Joint Entrance Examination, 2012. Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate of parent (s) of the candidate who has been studying / studied outside of Tripura must be submitted. (c) Candidate must have passed / appeared / due to appear in the year of Joint Entrance Examination at the Higher Secondary Examination of Tripura Board of Secondary Education / Central Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination with the subjects in which he / she desires to appear at the Joint Entrance Examination. (d) Children of All India Services Officers borne in Manipur-Tripura cadre and the children of the employees of State Government posted outside of Tripura will be eligible to appear at the examination irrespective of their prior stay in Tripura. (e) In case of Ward of Ex-Serviceman, either the candidate or his/her parents must have been staying in Tripura continuously for not less than 5 (five) years immediately prior to the date of making application for appearing at the Joint Entrance Examination and the candidate must have passed or appeared / due to appear at the H.S.(+ 2) Examination or equivalent in the year Joint Entrance Examination from any institution of Tripura with subjects in which he/she desires to appear at the Joint Entrance Examination. Children of serving defence personnel (Army / Navy / Air Force) hailing from Tripura are also eligible to appear at the Tripura Joint Entrance Examination provided that their children should have stayed in Tripura continuously for not less than 5 (five) years immediately prior to the date of making application for appearing at the Joint Entrance Examination of Tripura and that the candidate must have passed or appeared / due to appear at the H.S.Examination or equivalent Examination in the year of Joint Entrance Examination from any institution of Tripura with subjects in which he / she desires to appear at the Joint Entrance Examination. (f) If a candidate is allotted a seat in the past inside or outside the State on the basis of the result of Joint Entrance Examination he/she shall not be eligible to appear at the Joint Entrance Examination this year or subsequent year unless he/she surrendered the allotted seat in writing within specific time to the appropriate authority. However, if any amendment / change is / are made after issue of this Notification, the same shall be notified as per procedure. RESERVATION Reservation of seats for SC / ST / Physically Handicapped (PH) / Ward of Ex-serviceman (EX) candidates will be as per approved norms of the State Government. APPLICATION FORM (INCLUDING INSTRUCTION AND INFORMATION SHEET) The application form may be obtained from counter of the office of the TBJEE (second gate of the ground floor of the building of Tripura Board of Secondary Education, Gurkhabasti, w.e.f. 10.01.2012 to 31.01.2012 in between 11.00 A.M to 2.00 P.M. ( including Sundays and all other holidays) on payment of Rs. 25/-per form in cash. The application form will also be available from the Care Taker Unit, Directorate of Higher Education, (Old Secretariat Building, Akhaura Road, Agartala) w.e.f. 10. 01. 2012 to 31. 01. 2012 in between 1.00 P.M. to 3.00 P.M. on all working days on payment of Rs.25/-per form in cash. The application form may also be collected from the following centers w.e.f 12.01.2012 to 31. 01. 2012 on all working days on payment of Rs.25/- per form in cash. 1. Govt. The Application form may be obtained by postal request from the office of the Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination by sending Postal Order / Bank Draft of Rs. 25/- (Rupees twenty five only) per form in favour of TRIPURA BOARD OF JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION, payable at Agartala Head Post Office / State Bank of India or Tripura Gramin Bank at Agartala . All postal requests must be accompanied with a self- addressed envelope of 30 cm x 13 cm size and a postage stamp of Rs.5/- affixed on it . Application form may also be downloaded from website ( www.tbjee.nic.in ) and will also be accepted provided the applicant makes payment of Rs. 25/- (Rupees twenty five only) for cost of application form in the form of I.P.O. / Bank draft as stated above at the time of submission of application form in addition to the necessary enrolment fees.     ANNUAL REPORT 2014-15 ANNUAL REPORT 2014 - 15 Tripura University (A Central University) Suryamaninagar - 799022 1 ANNUAL REPORT 2014-15 From the Desk of the Vice-Chancellor Tripura University (a Central university) continued its journey towards excellence in the academic year 2014-1. Some of the important achievements and events are highlighted below: 1. Construction of two multi-storied buildings was completed and many offices and departments got new space to move in. The relocation eased space problems of several years. Many departments were able to expand their facilities. For example the Department of Botany was able to set up new laboratories. 2. Several new constructions were started. These include a 200 seated girl‟s hostel, an academic building for OBCs, School of Education and Distance Education, and a multistoried automobile parking lot, an international-standard football ground, and a new access road. 3. All buildings were made friendlier for differently abled persons. Ramps were constructed and washrooms are now properly equipped in most buildings for differently abled persons. Most of the buildings in the campus were cleaned and painted. About 100 washrooms were refurbished and improved in almost all buildings of the campus. 4. The guest house was also spruced up. A couple of executive suites were added to the guest house for guests with spouses. 5. New seminar rooms were created in several buildings for conducting meetings and seminars or workshops in parallel. Ninety two seminars/workshops/symposia were conducted in Tripura University during this academic year by the faculty members of thirty four Departments. 6. The University Campus is connected with a rapidly expanding LAN Internet and Wi-Fi.
