2020 21 WBB Record Book W 2019-20 Temple Women’s Basketball 2019-20 TEMPLE WOMEN’S BASKETBALL 2019-20 HONORS/AWARDS SEASON HIGHLIGHTS AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE American First Team All-Conference Mia Davis ♦ The Owls ended the 2019-20 season with a 16-15 overall record and a 7-9 American Second Team All-Conference mark in the conference. Ashley Jones ♦ Temple finished in a three-way tie American All-Freshman Team at sixth-place in the American and Asonah Alexander earned the eighth seed heading into the conference tournament. American Newcomer of the Year Ashley Jones ♦ The Owls were named Co-Big 5 Champions alongside Villanova after American Pre-Season Team they topped Penn 76-72 on Jan. 23. Mia Davis Temple finished 3-1 in the city series, American Player of the Week falling only to St. Joseph’s (67-63). Dec. 31 - Marissa Mackins ♦ Temple closed the season in the American Freshman of the Week quarterfinals of the American Ath- Dec. 16 - Asonah Alexander letic Conference Tournament, falling 94-61 to top-seeded UConn. American Weekly Honor Roll Nov. 11 - Mia Davis ♦ The Owls played a tough overall non-conference schedule, including Nov. 18 - Mia Davis nationally-ranked #6 South Carolina. The Gamecocks snuck away Nov. 25 - Ashley Jones with a 78-71 victory on Dec. 7 in McGonigle Hall. Dec. 2 - Shannen Atkinson Dec. 9 - Mia Davis ♦ Mia Davis led the Owls and finished in the top two in the conference Jan. 6 - Marissa Mackins in scoring and rebounding, averaging a double-double of 18.8 points Jan. 13 - Mia Davis Jan. 20 - Mia Davis and 10.2 rebounds per game.
