While Ellison has started 25 of the past 27 games, it’s the quarterback who is hot and moving the chains who gets the call. In last year’s GoDaddy Bowl victory over Bowling Green, Upshaw ran for 199 yards and four touchdowns to earn MVP honors of the game, but it was Ellison who ran for 134 yards and two scores and passed for 105 more to help lead the Eagles to a road win at Idaho.
