The program lasted for several years as one of NBC's top ranked programs. The collection consists of television scripts from The Andy Williams Show. Language: English. Biography In his teens Andy Williams began his singing career as one of the Four Williams brothers. The group teamed with comedianne Kay Thompson and formed a nightclub group. The group disbanded in 1952 and in 1954 Williams became a featured vocalist on The Tonight Show. After appearing in several summer replacement shows, Williams was given a fall series on NBC. The hour variety show lasted five seasons (1962-67) and featured The New Christy Minstrels and the Osmond Brothers. The show was produced by Bob Finkel and Edward Stephenson, directed by Bob Henry, and featured writers Don Hinkley, Harry Crane, and Mel Diamond. Scope and Content Collection consists of 59 television scripts from The Andy Williams Show dating October 5, 1964-March 12, 1967. Inventory includes an index of guests who appeared on the show.
