 Look in your craft closet  Check what is going on in your community to pick a good day of the week and time  Practice a couple of crafts  Start with one or two programs to interest

 Tying the program to the collection will your ability for funding  Make a book display  Have books available for check out during the program  Teach a technique, not a specific project

Get it on the cheap

 Go to thrift stores  Reuse supplies from other crafts  Order in bulk  Share supplies with Children’s Librarians  Borrow items Staffing

There are three steps to consider for staffing: 1. Select the crafts, order supplies, create publicity 2. Try to make craft 3. Present program The Program

 Registration is required and limited to 15 people.  Once a month on 1st Thursday at 6:30pm  Setup at 6pm  Clean up by 8:30pm Publicity
